O'Rourke Promotional Marketing O'Rourke is a SCAM business! They aggressively advertise on Monster.com. Stay Away! Sacramento California
I am a recent college graduate and was posting my job application on Monster.com and applied for a job with O'Rourke Promotional Marketing. Initially, the job was supposed to be only about two miles away from my house. Turns out, it was significantly longer than that in terms of travel. The receptionist, whose name is Jeannie, was pleasant at first but wouldn't give me any information about the company, what this company does or where this company is headed.
It was virtually impossible to get any info from this woman and then she said she needed to see my resume when, in fact, I already posted it on Monster.com and didn't see any reason as to why she would ask me such an odd question. Smelling something suspicious, I went on this website, the Bad Business Bureau, and voila! turns out that this company is running a scam on unsuspecting college students. I didn't bother to show up for my job interview which was scheduled at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15th. Today, as I write this, I was plagued by harassing phone calls from O'Rourke representatives from 1:41 pm until 8:30 pm. Let me get this straight: you refuse to give info about what this company is all about, don't even have a website, and prey on unsuspecting college students. Yeah, I smell a scam business going on here.
