Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A warning to all looking for a used car. Pacific Auto in Lincoln Nebraska is being run by Convicted felons. They have had numerous write ups in the Journal Star Newspaper. The crimes committed by the owner James Ngu are as such. Receiving stolen car parts and putting them on used cars and selling them to people like you and me. Other people involved are the sales manager Ben Murphy of the now defunct Murphy Motors of Lincoln Nebraska. Many of their staff have been illegal aliens working for cash as the whole business a cash scamming business. Mr. James Ngu from Malaysia has been raised different than most Americans. Lacking morals and tacking advantage of people is a way of life where he comes from. Im not sure why this guy has not been deported back to Malaysia as that is what they normally do to Felons or how he continues to operate and run a car business with no divers licenses as he cant get do to his Felonies and Ins catching up with him. Mr. Ngu has had many write ups on his shady business practices of Piecing Junk cars back together that have been totaled beyond repair and putting them back on the road. As was the case with our car we got from him.

Our mechanic found that out for us when we had it looked at. If you doubt this check in the back of his car lot and see for your self at 122 W. O street Lincoln NE. Or the Journal Stars past articles on these guys. These guys are paying cash for homes at capital beach so public records seem to show. Crooked cash Im sure of, coming from the unknowing public. Dont take my word for it check it out for your self, its all part of public record. Do take my advise and stay away from Pacific Auto in Lincoln NE. As their cars are junk spliced together and may have stolen parts on it. Oh and by the way if do buy a car from them and get caught with the stolen parts on your car! You get charged with a felony of receiving stolen property! I have more from others I will post here as well.

The accusations in this report are inaccurate and untrue.  We are going to address the facts here.

James Ngu is from Malaysia and has lived in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1984 and graduated from the University of Nebraska.  Pacific Auto, Inc. opened its doors in 1997.  We provide a unique shopping experience for our customers including clean title vehicles, previously salvaged title vehicles, service department and full service body shop.

We are proud of the quality of work we do.  We encourage a potential customer to visit our website (www.pacificautolincoln.com) and go through our inventory.  You will notice that we advertise our "clean title" and "previously salvaged titled" vehicles on the same site but disclose all of our vehicles with a "previously salvaged title" in the vehicle detail section.  Visit Cars.com or Autotrader.com and you will find the same disclosure on those websites.  We are not in any way misleading when it comes to representing our inventory in an honest and straight forward manner.

We have never had a complaint filed against Pacific Auto, Inc. or Murphy Motors, Inc. with the State of Nebraska dealer board.

We do have a small inventory of parts vehicles (none of which are stolen) behind our building.  This is not unusual for a company of our size.  We must state that there is a salvage auto business behind our facility that has over 3 acres of used vehicle parts for sale and may appear to be part of our property.  It is a separate business from ours.

This complaint states that our business is being run by "convicted felons".  James Ngu was convicted of receiving stolen property in 2001.  He purchased a vehicle from a customer wishing to sell, had the vehicle inspected by the sheriffs office to insure the title was free of liens, and then sold this vehicle only to find out later that the vehicle had stolen parts on it.  He plead guilty on the advice of his attorney and payed a $1500 fine.  He did not receive a sentence for probation or any jail time for this offense.  James Ngu has never had his drivers license suspended or revoked.  In 2011, the State of Nebraska granted James Ngu a full pardon for his prior felony.

Ben Murphy (Murphy Motors, Inc.) and James Ngu have been business partners for 4 years.  Murphy Motors, Inc. is not a "defunct" company.  Ben Murphy has never been convicted of a felony.

We are both active members of the Capitol Beach neighborhood and enjoy living within 5 minutes of the dealership.

We encourage our customers to test drive and have your mechanic inspect any vehicle on our lot. We have over 1000 satisfied customers who have purchased vehicles at our dealership.  Our goal is to provide an enjoyable shopping experience for a quality used vehicle.

If you have questions about our business please feel free to contact us by phone at 402-742-0230 or send an email to [email protected].
