Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Spencer did a summer internship with a company in Seattle and signed a lease agreement from 6/5/15 - 8/31/15, as they would not pro-rate the month of August.  He vacated on 8/14/15 but could find no one for days to turn the key in to or the final check.   He paid the final rent payment near the beginning of August, noted paid in full, with a note.  The check was cashed.  Given that there was no office, he turned this into the payment slot.   Since no one returned his call, he had to turn the key in the same way, through the slot.

Pacific Living, 8 months later, turned over to a collection agency, Genesis, a collection payment amount of $1379.18 for September rent, citing that Spencer did not give 30 days notice (which he did, through the slot).   Pacific Living never contacted Spencer but turned this over to a collection agency, Genesis, who, in turn, called Spencer on 4/12/16 and threatened that if he did not pay by end of business on 4/13/16, that they would adversely affect his credit score.

Spencer was only 21 at the time, a type 1 diabetic, who certainly does not need this additional stress during final exams.

Spencer did everything he was supposed to do.  Paid almost $5,000 for 3 months of living.  Never got a deposit back.  Never heard from the property again.   Tried to call them again today -- two of the numbers are disconnected and the one on the website still has no answer.

This is clearly their mode of operation.  Never return calls;  don't have an office;  that way, the collection agencies can bully people unethically for money that is not even owed in the first place.   This needs to be stopped!

Several reports have been filed on both of these entities, Pacific Living Properties and Genesis Credit Management, over the past 12-36 months.   Someone needs to file a class action lawsuit.  We do not owe $1379.18 and Spencer should not have his credit score adversely affected.  He has rented plenty of other places in college and has an excellent payment record.
