Pacific Stereo Ripoff liers scam a total joke Freemont California
I bought a TV & TV Tuner, DVD player for $ 780.00 plus installation. Henry, a salesperson, told me that the sound would go through FM modulation and explained to me the details on how clean the sound would be. He said at least 90% clear compared to direct connection to the speakers, so I took his word. When I picked up my car late that afternoon, I tested it and found out that there was so much distortion and the signal wasnt coming through my stereo clearly like a regular FM/AM would. He said it could only be our location at that time and said to return it the following day if the problems stills persists.
So I returned the next day and complained and had to wait for 3 hours before my car was actually checked. When the installer came to explain, he said there was nothing he could do co'z they dont have this certain adaptor for the antennae of my car. Then recommended for me to spend $400.00 more for a new head unit for everything to sound perfect. Then I tried to refund my money and they wouldnt give it back. Tried to exchange and still wouldnt allow it. During this process I would try to get a better deal and spoke to both Henry and the manager, and both would give me different quotes. When I try to verify, you could just see them lying in front of you by giving stares to one another. This is when I realized I was being ripped off and that place was a total scam.
Worst part of it all, I went to Goodguys a week ago to buy a new head unit and sub and amp and have them install it. I was watching the whole time while installing and told them I the problem about my DVD system. They found out that the plug for the antennae wasnt even plugged, but just wrapped with tape to took like it is. Goodguys fixed everything for me.
Pacific Stereo is one business that sould go down soon. People shouldnt even cosider this place because for sure, they'll be in for a rip-off!
