Following up on my previous report and opening www.pacificwebworks.com immediately led me to a link on the home page to another site www.onlinesupplier.com Looks like this is the place where the trouble starts! The heading at the top of the page says...eBay Auction Home & Small Business Site and the jist of the message on this website is that here is all the information that you need to start a profitable home business - "Work from Anywhere Using Your Computer" it exclaims. "Over $52 Billion was made on eBay Last Year!" and the rest of the ifo goes on to describe and offer the FREE starter kit that holds all of the secrets to starting a successful on-line business. These people are worse than I thought. They are deliberately playing on the most vulnerable segment of the population....not well-heeled entrepreneurs...but the desperate, the family man needing to supplement his income, the mom tied to home but needing extra cash, the unemployed looking for options....these are the people most likely to be grasping at straws and looking for options. In small print under the application form to obtain your free kit....you even check a box saying "Yes, I'd like to increase my income for free!". Then comes the submit button "Ship My Kit!" and finally, in small letters the link to the "terms of membership" which most would assume they'd get to IF they decide to sign up AFTER they take a look at the free kit! A disclaimer at the very end of the form does indicate that Online Supplier is not endoresed by or affiliated with eBay, Inc. BUT ONE HAS TO WONDER!? When you finally do get around to reading the Terms and Conditions - and I bet for 99.9% of the people it's after they submit the request form....it says "By completing the registration process and/or using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms of use, please exit the site now......." It's a little late after you have already applied for the free kit. The Terms and Conditions are 10 Pages long! It's unlikely that anyone would wade through that legalese when they think they can investigate the free kit and then decide if it is worth going further. They have gone to great length to cover their "butts" What a way to make money from those who can least afford to be scammed! I hope they have trouble sleeping at night!
