I was involved in a foreclosure in a dispute with Wells Fargo over a property. I was searching for a company that had the expertise to help me save my property, I found this company on the internet, http://securitizationauditservices.com they boasted several recommendations from very satisfied clients on their web site along with samples of their past successful audits. This appeared to be the company I needed in order to save my property. I called the 877 number on their web site, I was called back immediately by Christopher Tuft (Chris), I asked him questions about his services and pricing. Chris said he could help; I informed him that I would review my situation and get back to him. He called a few times and left messages to see the status of my situation, he did not seem too pushy, for me, this was another reason for considering him and his company.

In October of 2012, it did appear that I was going to need professional assistance; I contacted Chris and asked to meet with him. I met him at an Executive Office in Irvine California. I went over my situation again with Chris he assured me I would need their “level three” audit.  Chris  claimed the “level three” was needed as it was important to have an expert do the research and disclose it in the form of a written affidavit  otherwise this would not stand up in court. Chris informed me this was important as a judge would not consider accusations only professional testimony. The cost of “level one” was $800 the cost of “level three” was $1,750, obviously it was in his bet interest for him to purchase the “level three”.

Despite being nervous with regards to paying $1,750 to this company I did have the feeling  (after our discussions) that this was  needed in order  to halt foreclosure proceedings. Chris said it would take two weeks for him to produce this audit.

I was not given any contract, scope of work or receipt with an outline of expectations on the back, nothing.

On 11/2/12 I received an e mail from Chris requested a copy of my note; (luckily I still had this and knew where to find it) as the auditor wants to examine it. I had made some hand written calculations on the Buyers/ Borrowers Statement, I did not think this would be a problem so I faxed off all pages, 100 pages.

On 11/5/12 I received the “AUDIT “ via drop box, I went through the it carefully, there were several pages of fluff including a maps of the property location etc.; I was shocked to see the majority of this “AUDIT” was the exact same note with my hand written calculations on the Buyers/ Borrowers Statement and even included my fax header page that I had sent to Chris, of 114 pages 100 were the note I had sent. The professional affidavit consisted of two very short paragraphs by the “expert”. It was then I realized that I had been taken very badly for $1,750. I complained to Chris and stated that this was unacceptable for the price I paid. I complained to Chris that this was in no way value for money I requested a refund. As I had been overcharged for the work and did not receive any form of contract.

11/7/12 Chris sent an email stating that it is not their policy to provide refunds, he also stated that “An audit is a very simple review of documents that you provide to us”, this being the case then why does it take two weeks and if it is so simple why does it cost $1,750. Chris goes on to say “the work was done in full the scope of duties was completed”, how is it possible to make that statement when no such documentation of expectations was provided. Later this day Chris decides to furnish a contract, item (F) states “Governing Law & Venue This agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Wyoming and venue for arbitration shall be seated in the County of Laramie for the State of Wyoming”, a pretty important piece of information to find out don’t you think! He goes on to make the claim “this is our general contract made available to any clients wishing to contract services with our company. We publish it on our website so clients have access to it and so they are informed clearly of our scope of duties”. Interesting that I am notified of this when paying the $1,750, also after a review of the mentioned contract it has signature requests on it! In follow up emails Chris threatens me that should I sue he will file a counterclaim for damages, legal fees and cost.

In reality this could not be further from the truth in fact is, he runs away and hides, the process server was not able to get a forwarding address from the executive suites manager or post office, what reputable company moves and does not leave a forwarding address? Chris has opened numerous social media accounts and a consulting business none of which have any contact phone number or address listed. According to the Paladin web site in the blogs he writes it states he is in California. It is my belief that he is attempting to bury the bad publicity in the pages of search engines, in order to make it more tedious to search pages to find negative information from disgruntled clients on various search engines. Why would you open these sites without contact information?
