Palisades Collection Pursuing debt paid in 2004 Bethlehem Pennsylvania
I have faxed and emailed the canceled check paid back in 2004 to the company, Verizon, but Palisades is reporting this debt every two weeks to my credit report. I recently sent them a certified letter with a copy of the canceled check and they continue to file negative false claims on my credit report.

can help you as it has helped me. It's a document with legal jargon that essentially states your rights and requests that the collection agency must prove that you owe the debt. chances are, if it's over 2 years old or actually paid, within 60 days your credit will be cleared. the steps include: sending the letter i have for you to palisades in NJ. after 30 days, sending a letter to all 3 credit bureau disputing your debt, proving that paid the debt and that you requested that palisades submit proof, and that they have not replied. I guarantee they don't reply and suck an egg. Also, if you would like to get even, you may request loans that you are certain that will be turned down because of your credit information, in hopes that when it is fixed, you will be qualified. save the loan rejects, sue the collections agency for damages for it's reporting of debt that was never yours. You have no idea how many collections agencies are being scrutinized now and the need for more education for approaching persons with whom they wish to collect funds. most times, these collections companies don't even have proof that you owe a debt. That's the unadulterated messed up system for you.
