I viewed an apartment with Pangea. I liked the apartment. I agreed to apply. I was told I was approved and thus I gave notice where I resided at the time I was moving, only for Pangea to follow up telling me that I was NOT approved for THAT apartment, but for a lower threshhold per month. I almost found myself homeless because the apartment they wanted to move me in was in the WORST neighborhood and was a studio apartment and I have a toddler.  Finally Pangea re-reviewed my checkstubs and approved me for a higher threshold and for the apartment that I saw.  After signing my lease, for which I didnt receive my keys until three days AFTER I paid, I went to my apartment to find that it was NOT the apartment I saw.  

I was forced to sign paper work that I saw the apartment and signed that the appliances were in the apartment before I was able to sign my lease and notice the apartment number on the lease did not match the apartment I applied for from the beginning.  The person that presented the lease to me knew that I never saw the apartment, and she also knew the apartment she was placing me in was NOT the one I applied for in the first place. Yet upon signing the lease I was told to sign papers that I saw appliances and that the apartment was in tip top shape. This is SHADY.

Also, I have been trying to get my cooking gas turned on from day one.  After making my appointment with People's Energy I was THEN told by Pangea that their policy for utility is for weekday only. I have been calling for over two weeks trying to figure something out because People's Energy ONLY had Saturdays available for several weeks. I have a toddler, as I explained before. I purchased over 400 in food, parishable food that have gone to waste because I cannot cook.  My son has been eatting cold meals for an entire month because I didnt have money for alot of restuarant bought food.

When I called today, I was told Peoples energy didnt need access and that they were available for him to turn on without Pangea's assistant.  How is it, after explaining over and over again People's energy could only come on Saturday, coupled with my explanation of having a small child that needs hot meals, can you miss that several times over a period of several weeks after talking to several people.  I have wasted money and now my son is sick with diarrhea for several days because of a poor diet, and all I get is an explanation that the other representatives didnt do a good job of looking into the situation.

I have rights as a tenant.  I dont think I should have been given an apartment that I never viewed and told to sign paperwork that I viewed it. I dont think that there should be a weekend only policy enforced without explanation and without somone looking into whether or not this information even applies to me. 

The door to my apartment clearly shows signs that someone kicked it in before I moved in.  I never viewed this. I never had a chance to let them know that everything was not ok. I never had a chance to let them know I didnt want the apartment that they tried to place me in. I didnt even know this was the apartment that I was moving into until the day I viewed the apartment.  I placed a work order in that the door and frame needs to be replaced while Im living there, and they came and screwed the screws tighter on the door.

The practices this company partakes in are ANTI Customer. They have no intentions of doing what they say they will do. Its bait and switch, its clear. I paid for one thing, I got something else!
