Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was contacted by Paragon Group TX about several retained positions that they thought I would be ideal for.  I have dealt with groups like this and asked to confirm that they only perform retained executive searches and they told me that they do.  So -I went and visited the firm.  They gave me 25 minutes and were not prepared at all.  They used shared office space and the lady (Patsy Collier) looked like a low level AP clerk and I immediately knew that something was not right.

I went home and did some quick research and Patsy Colliers name came up in several 'scam' alerts.  I then refused to go back or nswer any of their follow-up emails.

When I was at their office, they has people scheduled to meet with them every 30 mins.  very much a production line mentality.  If they get one person a day to pay their fee (~$5000) - they win.  They have been doing this day in and day out for years - they just keep changing their names.

They also go by NRA Companies, National Recruiters of America and American Search Partners.  They also have a Dallas address at:  Paragon Group TX   1400 Preston Rd Suite 400, Plano, Texas 75093, United States.

THESE GUYS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN AND PERMANENTLY.  They are taking advantage of, misleading and stealing from enemployed persons, down and out individuals seeking employment.

Houston,
Texas,
THIS "report" is totally bogus!

#2General Comment

Fri, December 12, 2014

Dear “BWCHouston”,

Since you mention me personally, I thought I would take a moment to respond. First, thank you for providing your input to this string on Ripoff Report.  Sharing your opinion about the situation may be helpful to consumers, who are smart, and will read what you write and take it into account. That is how it is supposed to work. I don’t know a thing about the report above, but if you do, thanks for speaking up.

Second, that you for watching the video that you are commenting on [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-I-sVuVw8LY], in which I explain that rebuttals have always been free. If you had an employer that paid money, it was NOT for a rebuttal. It may have been for one of Ripoff Reports valuable services, but rebuttals have always been as free as the comment you made.

Third, I personally am 100% NOT liberal/progressive on the political spectrum. You probably think that because I spoke out and said that Bill O’Reilly was wrong, I am some kind of lib.  NOT!  I am very conservative, which is why I think the Founders of the United States got it right in the First Amendment when they enumerated Freedom of Speech.  For example, I don’t think the government should be able to prevent you from posting on this website.  I don’t think a Judge should be able to prevent you from posting on this website, even if what you say is wrong.  And, it is my conservative values that make me willing to defend freedom of speech even for speech I don’t agree with or can’t even respect on the merits. The right and ability to speak freely is more important than any political agenda.  And by the way, in general, I appreciate and respect Bill O’Reilly for speaking out (even though he should have been more willing to correct his mistake).

As someone who has been in the same industry and has known Patsy personally for years, the whinings of this writer are off the map.  What bothers me the most is that (A) Mr. Kunz may not have been with Ripoff Report when my former CEO paid thousands to that company to simply be able to respond to accusations that were, and continue to be completely "blind," meaning it's submitted by "Ripped Off in Cleveland," "AngelBaby," et al. (B) In the vast majority of cases I know that these "reports" are being written by a disgruntled, former employee, a competitor, or someone that just has a grudge.  I realize that they must check a box about being a customer, etc., but no one would ever lie on this site, would they, Mr. Kunz?  You do verify these entries, don't you? LOL!

Now, Mr. Kunz, (C) how much more political can you make this site?  Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING noting video streams on the righthand side is 100% liberal/progressive.  Ah, a way for you to gain brainless readers just because of his/her political idealism?  That makes me sick and a "professional" site like this should leave politics at the gate, OR give us BOTH sides.  I'm not a democrat, OR republican - a registered independent that gets informed and votes for the person that I believe will best reflect my own opinions and values, both short and long-term.

Patsy is a wonderful individual with about 20 years of expertise helping guide people that really need professional career counseling, resumes, et al.  She has hundreds of emails vouching for their good investment and how quickly and well they landed their new career position that probably wouldn't have happened without believing her.  There are lots of lazy clients out there that think spending money buys a majic pill in today's terrible economy and job market...sorry.  The last time I spoke with her, she (as I recall) only asks about 10% of the clients from the initial meeting to return for a second and then only a percentage of those actually become clients.  BTW, excecutive suites are much less expensive than a term lease, or buying a building which, in turn, reduces the fees charged as overhead is reduced.  If you want the Galleria area, there are companies that will charge higher rates and fees just to cover the "bling!"  If you LIKE "bling," then by all means go to some big fancy office!

This unidentified person (that has genuine spelling issues) is a fraud and after all of these years, I finally decided to respond to one of these stupid postings.  There was one against me many years ago that a friend made me aware of as I never heard of this site.  It was signed by "Jeff from Katy."  I didn't have, and never had, a client named Jeff, nor a male client from Katy to that point.  Ergo, a competitor, a fraud? - who knows?  This whole thing truly is a ripoff!  Happy 2015 to you all!
