Paragon Properties Of Costa Rica A fruadulent company selling Costa Rican land in Hollywood, Florida
You have to put 50% of the price down on land. Then the balance is due in 5 years. Then you have 6 months to go down and check out the property. According to their contract, you have 10 days after inspection to decline the offer. They are supposed to have roads and utilites in within 18 months. Then they have a contract to build a house at a rate locked in at the present amount.
We went down and checked it out. We didn't like the property they showed us and they wouldn't even let us look at different properties. So we went on our own to look at some of their other developments. One that was supposed to be done, had the entry gate and guard shack done but it looked like it had been left over a year with plants and vines growing all around it. The dirt had been washed away so we couldn't even drive in. Another only had surveyor stakes in the ground.
So when we got back home, we called to cancel and get our money back. Lyle Wexler said we could get our money back in 5 years after they contract was voided. I got very heated and threatened him after 5 minutes of arguing about the contract. He finally relinguished and said he would refund our $$.
After 2 weeks, we hadn't heard anything so I called, only to get the runaround
From then on I started calling them weekly. And finally after 5 months I was calling them daily. We finally got a money after 6 months of calling, worrying, and going to the Attorney General, Real Estate Affairs Office and whomever else we could think of or get advice from someone we talked to.
