We put a 25,000 downpayment with paragon properties of costa rica and cannot get their agent to respond to questions we have regarding infrastructure or their financial status. In 2010, it will be 5 yrs that we signed our contract. We have been contacted by them to send more money and they will reduce the balance we owe, 35,000 to complete the purchase on our lot in the Gables. We are in Costa Rica to visit the site and determined no one and no equipment has been in that area for sometime. The models are now for sale but there is no infrastructure or any building going on in that area.

No one will respond to us. Many others must have purchased before us and their 5 yr waiting period for their return deposits or the start of construction should have begun by now. If there is an attorney working on someone's behalf, please contact us.

I through down 25k in early 07' with a dream of making a profit in the beautiful southern region of Costa Rica! I got scared about 6 months later and asked for my money back because of the lack of communication and progress. They refused and made it clear that they where not going to be handing back refunds," just because someone changed their mind". Then I contacted them in early mid 08' after giving it a rest for about a year. They told me that they had made progress and that they would not give any funds back even though they where behind schedule and misrepresentation seemed to be the commonality, but they would lower my payoff price if I made the final payment. So I did and now I cant help but think that my money is tied up in something that will never happen and they will never give me the deed! I would like something other than a bad taste in my mouth! Im 28, recently married, and need the money more than anything in this economy. But again would settle for the deed and a phone call! Guess I also want feed back on what others are doing, if this is a rip off, or if any positve outcomes have taken place lately with this company?
