this is all well and good I guess. After receiving this rebuttal i decided I would have to wait and see what happens and as usual ...nothing happened. It is now Oct 7th and to this date Pardons and waivers still have not notified me regarding this matter. They originally told me I would be notified right away both in writing and via email but I have not heard a word from them
They took time to be sure there was a rebuttal on line for everyone to see but that still does not change the fact that what I paid for up front was not delivered I have not moved and my email address is still the same so it goes to show what kind of law firm this is when they demand their money up front and then ignore you. If it had not been for this rebuttal I guess I would never have known that anything was done...but its only been 2 years now and I am still waiting

The following is an email received for the above clients file destruction and also the proof of delay when dealing with individual police detachments. Normaly the process of a file destruction can take a few months. But since the clients criminal records were from many years back, the OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) Had to do some digging around to find his orignal arrest records.

As you are aware even police agencies can wait up to six months for fingerprint responses from RCMP, I am unsure as to your issue with Kingston Police, however I will forward a letter from our office stating that the prints and photographs with regard to this occurrence were destroyed.

Jim was frusted at first because of the time frame but is now happy knowing his records have been destroyed.
