PAT, Fort Carson, CO I am dealing with this issue also with this company. My problem is that my insurance have completed paying the line holder the amount that my vehicle was determined to be a total loss ($19,000 with a balance of $7,500 (which GAP was to cover) however, they insist that the amount is not correct due to the fact that my vehicel was damage by a hail storm that they should not be covering it as part of their warranty. Gap Warranty not paid as agreed on contract. Yet uses delay tactics to have customer keep making monthly payments so that they do not have to make full oayments
PAT, Fort Carson, CO I am dealing with this issue also with this company. My problem is that my insurance have completed paying the line holder the amount that my vehicle was determined to be a total loss ($19,000 with a balance of $7,500 (which GAP was to cover) however, they insist that the amount is not correct due to the fact that my vehicel was damage by a hail storm that they should not be covering it as part of their warranty. First problem i had was i called and informed them of what happened. They told me to submit documents online. I submitted all documents and then 2 weeks later they told me that i was still missing a document (i was like so when are you planning on informing me about it, RESPOSNE: its not our (GAP) problem if you did not submit all documents) Talk about being professiyou. I hinted that they were only stalling so that i could still make my monthly payments to the finance company, remember the longer it takes them to pay anything the owner is still responsible for monthly payments. Now going into 2 months and still not resolve but yet the insurance company has paid their part. Warranty has not. They really know how to make excuses on why the payments arent being send. Now they informed me that they need a copy of they payment made to the Finance and what other warranty i have for the vehicle. They even are asking the dealer for all documents that they claim is needed. So just another obstacle to delay making payments. So moral of the story is if a Dealer ask you need GAP Warranty (suggest not too and just ake sure that you have full coverage with your insurance company).
