i know i am responding to an old complaint but, it has just come to my attention and i want to address it. we do not lie to customers or trick or mistreat them. obviously having owned this truck for a year and not noticing anything about any paint work or damage to the exterior should indicate that there could have been no perceived damage on our part either at the time the vehicle was sold new. there are times when the plant repairs a panel on a vehicle prior to ever delivering it to the dealers. this could have been one of those instances. recently we received a truck that we detected was damage repair from the plant and it was visible and we sent it back. we can not detect something that shows no visible exterior damage and the customer stated that a year after ownership they noticed something underneath, not visible otherwise. i was not made aware of this incident( it was 2 years ago) and if i had been perhaps i could have addressed it differently somehow and found some solution that would be equitable for both patriot and the customer. chevrolet as a manufacturer normally after a year of ownership would not agree to acccept body work as a part of the warranty but i would as the dealer try to resolve this issue with the customer had i known about it and been able to see this myself. thank you for allowing me to respond
