bought a new couch and love seat from them in december of 2014 had to have it repaired march of 2015 broke again may of 2015 been waiting over a month with me having to call them over and over even though they tell me each time they will get right back to me which was the same as the last time. this time after waiting over 5 weeks got ahold of them today and was informed by the manager Don that they can't fix it unless i pay them to pic it up so they can take it to there shop to fix it because he said that the repairman told them it was customer abuse the last time even though when i asked the repairman the first time what was the cause and he told me it was hard to tell but he thought the wood that was broke looked like it might of been defective from the factory never did he say it was anything i did and never did they say anything about it until today,and also the repairman just subcontracts from them.the other thing i would like to know how do they even know what caused it this time as they have never been out to see it and comfirm that it's even the same as before.whats realy funny is them thinking that i would trust them to ever bring my couch back when the can't even return a phone call. i guess they just want me to fix it myself and leave them alone but i am going to take this as far as i have to to make it right if i'm wrong then i can accept that but it's going to be on them to prove that.i guess there warranty is great as long as you don't need to use it i bet the car manufactures would like this.

Ok here is a update on Payless Furniture and Mattress. After posting on here out of the blue I get a call from the repairman to set up a appointment to come out and look at my couch. After he looked at it he said it had nothing to do with the first repair that first one was fine. I guess that all knowing manager didn't know after all LOL He had to rebuild the complete bottom of one section of the couch. He also told me to be very careful of using the recliner part as it's only held together by 2 bolts, not sure how many it should have as i have never built a couch. The repairman also told me he was told by the manager that this was the last time he could repair it I guess it has something to do with payless getting a better deal from Serta but Payless has to pay for warranty work. So long story short you have a warranty as long as you don't need it to much bet the automakers would like this kind of deal. Or maybe they just will not come out your house to do any repairs that it has to go to ther shop so they can keep it until the warranty runs out LOL I have learned a few things I will never buy from Payless Furiture and Mattress, I will never buy anything made by Serta, I will tell anybody looking to buy furniture to not go here and I will go back to Value City to buy my Furniture were I have had great service. Now heres the dumb thing thats all on me i thought I was at Value City because they are right behind Payless Furniture and Mattress on west broad st in Coulumbus Ohio and I didn't notice it until I hade made the deal but i thought what could the difference be. I found out LOL
