On October 7, 2016, my husband and I went to Payless Furniture & Mattress Miamisburg to look for a sectional for our basement. We chose this particular store because we did not want to spend a tremendous amount of money. We found a sectional that we really wanted and the price ended up with tax & delivery $2499.26.

My husband filled out the paperwork for our financing through Synchroney Financial, which we have used before with other furniture companies.

We were told that delivery would be 7-10 business days.

On October 21, 2016, I gave Payless Furniture & Mattress a call to find out what the hold up was and the manager told me that the sectional was moving from warehouse to warehous.  This sounded like a bunch of BS, but I told him that I better not receive a bill and he needs to call me ASAP when he can figure out the delivery date. The manager told me that he would call and that I would not receive a bill.

A few days later, I received a bill from Synchroney Financial and that we owed our first payment on November 09, 2016.  I called back on Monday 10/24/2016 to tell them that I needed a date for delivery because now I have a bill.  The manager pulled out of the air a date of some time the last week in October, but possibly no later than November 07, 2016.  Not a for sure date just a date to get me to wait longer.

On October 25, 2016, I decided to make a trip back to the store to cancel the order. The manager refused to cancel my order and when I asked him for my receipt that he never gave me on 10/07/2016 he said no as well. I tried to get my receipt myself and after he pushed me with his big belly, I then decided to call the Miamisburg police.  Three officers showed up to help me obtain my receipt. They never gave me the original receipt only an copy of the original.

Basically, I have a receipt, no furniture, and a bill for $2499.26.  I have no idea if I will get the furniture either. 

As of right now, I have filed a consumer complaint with the attorney general's office, I have filed a dispute with Synchroney Financial.  Hopefully this can be resolved somehow. If the complaints and disputes don't help then I will file with Small Claims Court in Miamisburg Ohio.

My remedy for relief, would be to cancel this order and to never ever see or walk near this business ever again.
