Complaint Review: PAYPAL - EBAY - Internet

I  have  stopped  selling  on  ebay  since  they  introduced  their  mandatory  "PayPal"  rule.   Before  that  I accepted  money  orders,  personal  checks,  etc.  and  did not  have  one  singe  bad  experience.  

Anyway -   it's  the  seller's  problem  if  a  personal    check bounces,  so  why  does  Ebay  care.  Their  claim  to  protect  is  BS.

When  I  buy  something  on  ebay,  then  only  from  sellers  who  offer  alternative  payment  options  (credit  card,  etc.)   everybody  should  do  this  to  make  them  change  their  PayPal  policy.

I have been with Paypal and Ebay since they started.My feedback is 100% in 13 years.I am a retired jeweler and have sold thousands of dollars in gold jewelry with out so much as one complaint.2 years ago after a move my updated paypal card was sent to my old address before I had a chance to submit my change of address form.It was returned to paypal.I called them to find out why I hadnt recieved my card and was told they had sent it but it was returned and not forwarded(their policy).I told them I had moved during the process and would they just send it to my new address.Sure they said but would I just update my info,proff of new address and credit card.I explained that the only card I owned now(my choise to get off the grid) was my Paypal debit card and I had no intention of ever having a credit card again.Long story short no new paypal debit card for me.I continued to use my account with PP and EB and jst transfered my money to my husbands account so I could use his card.No problem just a pain in the rear.Recently I sold a lot of scrap gold to a guy in Canada.I sent it Priorty  International mail from my local PO,with my customs form and reciet stamped mailed april 30.

After 2 weeks with no feedback or corispondance from my buyer I started to wonder but figured with customs involved it was probably still tied up.A week later I get an email from the buyer "where's my gold?"I emailed him back expressing my consern and gave him the number on the custom form date it was shipped and method.I agreed to check with my PO and would he do the same.(The Canadian PO was in the process of a strike at the time).I have shipped all over the world with this method and never had a problem.Never lost a package.Another long story short He filed a compalint Paypal went in his favor and I the seller with such a good selling history got the shaft.I had proff that I shipped,and an excellent selling history,but because it never made it to the buyer I'm out $230. I have never used the Print and Pay shipping label ($4.95),I had no "Buyers Protection".I figure with ebay fees and paypal fees why give them more fees.I have been handling my shipping fees for 13 years without their help why start now paying someone else to do it now. 

End of story.Since I cant prove he got it,and Im sure he did,it had a return address and I havent got it.He got the gold and his money back.I am out my gold and the money.My lesson learned. No matter how good your rep. is with these two companys Never ship without a tracking number or out of the country.Oh yea tell ebay and paypal to shove it.

I also have been scammed, but I was on the other end... You can read my report ripoff172838 I am looking to sue paypal as well even though they will probably just laugh,I cant just sit here and let them screw my small company I started myself! I am out $6615 Lets talk about our cases and see if we can find others, maybe if we can find all similar cases, we can form a class action suit! Thanks for your time, Kris
