PC Bug-Repair.Com Infected my computer, ripped me off by false advertising, falsely claiming to be a legitimate company, Internet
My virus scanner had expired and when a pop-up appeared on my screen I thought it was from the same company, so I followed the prompts and sent payment for the program, only to find that I was not sent an activation code.
On googling the company I found another person reporting the same rip-off and being abused in the rebuttal. On closer examination of the text I find the ripoff merchant's English usage is a bit fractured but on the whole the website appeared legitimate.
I have cancelled my credit card so as to give the thief no further access but have already been ripped off over $AUD84.00.
