I recently took the NICET fire alarm level 2 test for the second time and recieved the same exact failing score. I am a valid Fire alarm license holder for the state of Rhode Island and have been in the industry for 25 years. The level 1 test was actually harder and had more questions that were directly related to the field . I found the level 2 test to very deceptive questions that the answer choices depened on certain circumstances that were not given. you are only given a score and have no way of knowing what you got right or wrong to prepare youself for a retake. I find it hard to believe that I could have gotten the same exact test score from my previous test. I was fully prepaired to answer any relivant questions per Nfpa 72 but few were given. At 270.00 per test I now feel this is nothing but a scam. Pass or fail I would still feel the same way. Rhode Island has one of the strictest Fire alarm codes in the industry and I am recognized for achieving a state license. After all the time and money invested in this I am really disappointed. I have seen simular compaints on different web sites.
