PEOPLEPC ripoff of promised referral fees Internet
PeoplePC advertises on their site and thru printed media that for every referral to peoplePC, the referring member will be credited with a $50.00 sign-on bonus to referred persons purchasing a computer package, and this will be payable within 90 days.
The credit has shown up on my account for almost a year, but try to get it! Numerous emails to the provider have only resulted in being told they are behind in sending out the money and I should receive mine shortly. "Shortly" has gone on for several months, and as of 2 weeks ago, I continue to get the same response.
I am assuming that this promise is just a promise and there is no intent to pay the bonus. I will certainly not renew my internet access with the company when my contract is up.
