I'm sorry for the abuse you recieved. My sister had a simular problem with them. She paid for an oil change, went to work a few days later and her motor locked up in the middle of the road. She took it somewhere else and they asked her when was the last time she had the oil changed, she reached in the glove box and pulled out the paper for Pep Boys stating it was done. To make a long story short, she went through pure hell to have the engine replaced. Finally the manufactor of the car and Pep Boys agreed to go half and half. She didn't have to pay, but come on, it was in no way her fault taht Pep Boys is that incompetent. There was no way they didn't know they forgot to cahnge the oil. That's just one of the many complaints to Pep Boys. Their main office will probally never return or calls or e-mails, what do they care, they do this nationwide. I sometimes wonder if they teach their employees to screw certain people over. The best thing I can tell you to do is to contact your attorney general and file a complaint. This is probally your best way of getting your money back and your point accross. Good luck!
