I took my 92 Ford Taurus Station Wagon to Pep Boys in Lancaster,Tx. I needed to have a power steering pressure hose replaced. I use this station wagaon to haul things when they won't fit in my car. I was told to replace the pressure hose it would be a four hour job, because of the location of the hose. Thing had to be disconnected.

The day I took my vehicle to Pep Boys my air conditioner was working great.

Anyway, that 4 hour job was done in 2 1/2 hours.

I picked up my car, and paid them. A sudden storm started, so I ran to my car soak, and wet. I didn't try to turn on the air, because my clothes were so wet.

I drive two cars. So when I got home I parked the station wagon.

All week, I drove my mirage.

Now it was a week later, I got in the station wagon, and the air conditioner was not working.

I called, Pep Boys, they told me to bring it in, and they would look at it. They said, if it was something they had done, it would be no fee.

Well, I took it to them. They said, it would take an hour for them to check it out and see what the problem was. After waiting 2 hours, I spoke to the Manager (Guy Spaulding). I explained to him what had happened, and what was happening. That 1 hour wait, turned into a 6 hours wait.

I waited 6 hours for them to tell me, it was nothing they could have done to cause the air to stop working. They said my station wagon was just old, that was the reason my air went out. Then me a estimated price of over $200 to repair it. I said, I wasn't interested.

I imagine, if anyone took their old vehicle to Pep Boys, and it was something they did wrong, the excuse would be "it's old". It appeared to be intentional that they made me wait that long to tell me that. It was cruel. Guy was watching the whole situation.

I left their feeling ripped off, and mistreated.
