Perks Card - absolutely no ROI promotion scam, marketing scam, small business Nationwide
I recieved a phone call from a sales rep telling me that they had a great deal for me to promote my business by offering a discount to over 10k employees who would exclusively recieve my information. Some of these members were "even specficially asking for" the service that I provide. She said she needed my answer right away though b/c if someone else said yes to the service I provide, I would lose out.
I looked around the internet and couldn't find anyone who acutally had a bad experience with them - i did find people who THOUGHT this would be a scam. But the numbers she told me sounded great - even if only 1% of employees purchased my product, that would still have been a huge growth for me (a 1 person opperation).
I signed up about 6 months ago, and have not recieved one single lead. The website that you are listed on is so extensive it's impossible to be found. They also send out 'Groupon' type emails listing a whole bunch of discounts that they offer...there's no way to stand out among the crowd. This was a ridiculous waste of money for me and I feel I was misled in the sales pitch.
If you have someone pitching you this great promotion, make sure you're aware of what the promotion will look like before you sign up.
