I used to work for Persopo. They are a small-time call center that runs a public records database. The report maker made bs claims about drug trafficking and money laundering and organized crime? Those are the most idiotic rantings I have heard since I was a bill collector..... While I am not really a fan of the company, I must be honest. They are a relatively new company. Anyone who has complaints about there not being corporate has obviously never dealt with a mom and pop shop before. They are it. There is no other number to call because everyone important is only ever there. Yes I found the job on Craigslist and Chris was the guy who hired me. So what? It is a call center, craigslist is how 90% of call center jobs are found.....My check was direct deposited so I have no signature to look at sorry lol. And lastly, it seems the person wasn't understanding the directionality of how public records work. The information comes FROM Government agencies, it is NOT sent to them. All information is only what has been made public, which is actually pretty limited. Most people complain that too little information is given. 6 months working there this is the first person I heard complain about what IS shown.... Maybe that person needs to read on the website, you are allowed to have your info taken off the website, they call it Opt-Off or something. It is something they train everyone on, anyone who wants info taken off they send an email to the company and put what they want taken off and it gets processed.... it isn't rocket science.
Now I have my own statement to make... How I left the place was bull, and Management totally could have handled things better. Some stupid complaint by a girl that had quit a few months previously was upset that I got her position so she filed a complaint with the employment board about me creating a hostile environment for her and I had to be 'adequately disciplined' to make the complaint go away. I had to get a new job because some chick was unhappy she couldn't handle her job but I could? Total crap. But, I blame the girl more than the company. sometimes you just can't win and I had to pay the price for it.
Everything above is the good and bad from my experience. The company is not great, but they are by no means a fraud or drug dealers, and they certainly aren't the mob LOL. Most people who complain are people who don't read or think things through. 99.99% of all complaints with this (or any) company can be handled by giving them a call directly to ask about it. Don't be belligerent or rude, you will not be helped very much by who answers the phone. Try being a human being and remember you are talking to a person. Ask your question like a calm intelligent adult and you will almost always be treated like one. I may have gotten the raw end of my deal, but most of the people I knew from Persopo I would still grab a beer with any day. That's not something I can say about most of my past jobs.
Oh and I was not brainwashed and I do have a job now lol!
