Thank you for your response to this one. I volunteer in rescue work and people don't believe the reasons I hear for their "precious babies" being dumped. This is just one of many. Terriers tend to be hyper, need exercise, possibly training, and are not recommended to be around smaller animals.

I find it crazy that you would give a dog away because they got to heavy. Its because of people like you that animals are in shelters. You couldnt take your pup to puppy classes and maybe seen if they could work with the pup not to be hyper?? If you would have done your homework before buying this rat terrier you would have known they are high strung dogs that require lots of play and walks etc to wear them down a bit.
