Having your hours cut sucks, but it is not a RipOff.
Last year instead of laying people off they just cut the hours in half forcing the full time employees to drop down to part time and lose their medical benifits
- So I guess in your mind it would be fair if they laid off a few people instead...as long as it is NOT YOU.
The other problem is if the groomer has dogs scheuduled for the day the management can give those dogs to another groomer and then call and tell employee they aren't needed for the day
- Let me guess you were the one who was told they aren't needed.

As a piece of advise that may be too late. You should be careful what you post on-line. If you wouldn't say it to your boss, you probably shouldn't post it on a pubic web site. You mentioned the store, you posted your name, and some other details. So don't be surprised if someone from Petsmart figures out who you are. Then all of the sudden there is a "need" to do some additional cuts. They may do the layoffs you wanted, but you may not like it once you find out it is you who is being laid off.

In case you didn't notice, the economy's in the toilet. It sucks that your hours got cut, but I hardly think it's the fault of Petsmart. Would you rather they lay you off?
