Complaint Review: Philadelphia Carpeting & Shaw Industries - Dalton Georgia

shaw industries used to be a good company to work for. Since the buy out things are changing. Quality is not important any more and the employees are treated unfairly and are not having a say so in things that go on. I cant give my email or other information because they will know who I am. I work for the Ellijay Plant 82 and let me tell you quality stinks. I a machaine problem arises and is brought to there attention the let it go. They are not quality centered and more... it is production and money. They intend to make the carpet for as little as possible and mark it up greatly. Someone is making the money while the employee are losing their homes and falling further in debt. I dont plan to stay with this company for long ..... 12 years is long enough. Im still stuck in the same job for the last 8 years as a technician. I have seen many thing pass through that shouldnt have and I am sick to see a once great company fall.

The consumer certainly has the right .. and should hire their own expert. The consumers concerns would be properly and professionally inspected .. a comprehensive report written, which in turn the consumer should file with the floor covering dealer/installer in question (IF the fault is found to lay there that is) &/or with the "CLAIMS" Department of the manufacturer if the concern(s) is found to be manufacturing related. I own a carpet store. I am thinking this owner went to a store and purchased this carpet. Perhaps they felt they could put it in themselves. Maybe their cousin the roofer did it. Was ths person CFI certified? Did yo get your carpet from a Shaw Aligned Dealer.Did this person try to save money by having someone other than a Certified installer? Was the floor prepped properly? Was in glued down over pad? Double glue down? Stretched?Tackstrip? I have had problems with Shaw carpet.They are few and far between. They are "THE BEST" when it comes to complaints. Did you buy it from a retail carpet store or a discounter? 2. Did you have it professionally installed? Carpet that develop lines are usally because they were not power stretched, meaning they were not isnatalled correctly. Many sav-a-buckers complain of a carpets poor performance, whin in fact it is the customers poor performance that is usally the problem. :::::::::::: EDITORS NOTE: I don't think this time it is usual.
