Don't pay the money for their Adbrite Clone called Adquick 2.0.

Adbrite is also corrupt because they claim and charge your account for ads never purchased or extend ads you've already closed.

The script is coded all over the place, I found countless of files, to delete information from your site to go to theirs. They also insure that the script is "licensed". Licensed means that they power the script. That means you do all the work and they get all the credit.

I was suspicious when doing an install. Look at the lower left corner while the page is loading. This is only visible usually upon a first installation.

Also no honest script asks you for a license key.

Don't ever purchase a script from someone that requires a "license" or add an "add-on" that requires a license unless you are financially or otherwise suicidal.

This is Phil from phplemon.com - I am not 100% sure who the customer is who has left their comments on this website. Please could you email me as soon as possible and let me know it was you that left this comment so that i know which of our customers you are.

We always send updates as soon as they are requested, so i'm not sure why you haven't received the latest update. As of today (November 24th '09) that is version 2.2.2). Please email me as soon as possible and let me know it was you that left the comments on this website so that we can get your issues sorted out as soon as possible.

When bugs are reported, they are listed on our internal bugs system and then they are fixed in priorty of how serious the bug is. Please send me a list of any bugs you have, and we will do all we can to get them fixed in time for our next update. If they dont make our next update, then they will be included in our next update.

AdQuick 3.0 will be released very early in 2010, and this update will be written using an entirely new PHP framework which will see huge improvements to our software in terms of speed and performance. AdQuick 2.2.x is being used by many users right now who are extremely happy with the software and it is allowing them to make some good money, but if anyone has any problems, please email me.

Again, the person who left the comments saying that we hadn't responded to you and that we hadn't sent you the latest update, please email me and most importantly please let me know that you saw this message on this website. thanks.

First off, keep in mind that we currently use version 2.2.1 and only one version has been released since that (as of the writing of this review). Also, my main issues are:

1. Not all advertised functions work (and this is a result of bugs NOT improper installation)

2. After several requests (with my legitimate serial number given in the email) I have still not received the updated version with multiple fixes as well as a fix for a MAJOR security flaw. Does the site advertise "free updates for life"? The developer has responded that he is sending the update but still has not (even after 3 more requests over the course of more than 2 weeks). I have checked our spam boxes. Nope. Not there either. We have emailed him from 3 different email addresses/domains.

3. The developer simply does not respond to very specific questions about the flaws in the software. It is not like we have harassed him. We only want REAL answers/fixes to the problems. If all functions worked then we would have no reason for support. If support actually responded to customer needs then the customer would be satisfied.
-----

With that said...

When we first inquired about buying this software and immediately after making the purchase we got replies back from the developer in what I consider a decent turnaround - within 24 hours most of the time. That's fair to me when dealing with smaller software vendors who must support customers from around the globe. It goes with the territory that you won't get instant fixes or answers to issues when dealing with smaller companies like this. With that said, since those initial days it has been difficult if not impossible to get questions answered when features do not work properly. Instead of addressing the issues the developer (I suppose this is "Phil") replies by basically saying the no-working features SHOULD work. Well... yes. I get that. Advertised features of the software SHOULD work but when they do not then fixing the issues should be the proper course of action.

Now, on the other hand, development of this software seems to be constant, even when SOME of the bugs are not addressed and resolved. The developer must be given credit for this. Our issue is, when a problem cannot be resolved at the moment we would at least like the courtesy from the vendor to inform us that a fix is not a priority at the moment (even though fixes to some of these issues SHOULD be a priority) or... AT LEAST a response to questions we have asked multiple times in email. For instance, I have emailed the developer on 3 separate occasions about the same issue and in the first 2 replies he ignored 2 of my 3 questions. To make things worse, I have asked for my copy of a most recent update (which was released 30 days ago) that fixes a major security hole and after providing my license number (as requested by the vendor who SHOULD have this info on file anyway) I have yet to receive the updated version.

So, basically, my site sits online with important features still inoperable and I cannot take the chance on advertising for fear of being attacked via a widely known security flaw. Lastly, as a paying customer I would think the developer would inform me and other customers via email when a major update that fixes such issues was released. Nope. I only found out there was a new version available after I visited the software's site in hopes of getting support for the issues we were having with our site. Anyway, this software has GREAT potential but it feels like it's a one-man show that really needs the attention of a dedicated support and development team. If this isn't feasible then the software really should advertise features that don't all work properly or "Free Installation + Free Updates & Support For Life". Close to a HIT but I'm feeling like this was an quite expensive MISS.

First of all, it is plainly obvious that this report has been submitted to purposely damage our products reputation, and the reason i know this 100% is because if the claims made in this report were true then anyone who had spent $249 to buy our product would have contacted us to complain and ask for their money back. We have never had a complaint about any of these claims. I'll go through their report with my response after it...... "Adbrite is also corrupt because they claim and charge your account for ads never purchased or extend ads you've already closed." - phplemon response: We have no control over how adbrite run their website. As of 10th June 2009 AdQuick doesn't have a feature to automatically renew ads. "The script is coded all over the place, I found countless of files, to delete information from your site to go to theirs. They also insure that the script is "licensed". Licensed means that they power the script. That means you do all the work and they get all the credit." - phplemon response: Our code has nothing in it at all which sends data or anything like that to any third party website. This would be a serious thing to be happening, and after roughly 3 years of selling AdQuick, if this really was happening, you would know about it by searching the internet. AdQuick uses the ionolicensing.com software in all of our products. A lot of "Paid For" products incorporate some sort of licensing system. We use a licensing system to prevent people who buy our products to install them onto as many websites as they like. Theres nothing wrong with that at all. All of this information is on our license agreement page and everyone who buys our software know this. By reading this license agreement then no-one will have any confusion over what they are buying. Yes, AdQuick uses a licensing system, but thats not a crime. We use the ionolicensing.com software, please check it out. There is no way we can take any credit for anyone who uses our software to run their own ad network. Anyone who makes a success of their own ad network using our software is down to their own hard work. "I was suspicious when doing an install. Look at the lower left corner while the page is loading. This is only visible usually upon a first installation. Also no honest script asks you for a license key." - phplemon response: When you install AdQuick, your software will connect to our licensing server at phplemon.com to check to see if you are installing the software onto the valid domain name that the license key is associated with. Licensing is everywhere, you just need to look at Windows when you install that, because they will ask for a license key aswell. If anyone wants a product that doesn't have a licensing system, then AdQuick isn't for you, but it is but that doesn't mean AdQuick should fall into the "Internet Fraud" section. Don't pay the money for their Adbrite Clone called Adquick 2.0. - phplemon response: AdQuick 2.0 hasn't been available since October 2008. Since then version 2.1 has been released and more recently version 2.2 - This comment makes it clear to use that whoever is making these claims aren't using a valid copy of AdQuick anyway and instead a pirated version from warez which could have any kind of code that we aren't even aware of. We are extremely confident that this claim was submitted by someone intent on damaging our reputation, but we are fully open with our response and we will gladly take any questions from anyone wishing to contact us via our website at phplemon.com
