I am very disgusted with this company. To my dismay, I found this company on craigslist which should have been a pointer. Real companies hire from indeed or something like that. I completed some files for them and after 3 weeks, have yet to be paid on one file. It took approximately one month to receive payment on the first two files. The owner continues to tell me that payment has been mailed by the bank. I don't know if any of you use online banking to pay bills, it doesn't take three weeks for a check to arrive. The first file I completed was on February 9. After the file was completed, the owner alerted me that payments are mailed out on Fridays. I completed a second file for them. The total to be paid was $229.50. She told me the payment was "posted" that Friday, February 14, 2014. When I received the check well over two weeks later on February 5, the check was dated February 21. She lied and stated that she sent it out on the 14th.

Yes, you have two checks already sent out to you for those three files. You should be receiving those sometime this week.

This shows that she has lied because again, if I received one check and they were sent out at the same time, why wouldn't I have received the other?
On March 4th, I politely emailed her
Dear *****:
Hi Jennifer,
Once again, as was explained before, the checks are not mailed by me they’re mailed by BoA headquarters, which I believe it out west somewhere and takes a little longer than your typical timeframe from the same state. Upon completion of your file we post the payment and it’s processed. All of our invoicing, payments, and books are kept legally by Bank of America. You are welcome to challenge them. And they will be happy to provide unlimited amounts of proof of payment to an attorney of your choosing. Perhaps if you consult with an attorney, your attorney can explain this to you where you would be able to understand it better. I’m really not sure how much more plain I can make it. I’ve tried to be as elementary as I can in my explanation, but evidently you’re not following how this works. AGAIN, there is simply no other way for me to explain that to you. I am sorry that you do not understand it. You should also consult with a professional transcriptionist that could perhaps make that a little more understandable for you because clearly, you’re not receiving the factual information that I’m trying to give you, as well it will be very helpful for you in the future on how to be professional in your services.
Please do contact anyone you wish for legal advice, I’ve also copied this to our legal team and they have all the paperwork together with the proof or documentation of monies that has been paid – whether or not you’ve received it maybe be an issue on your end.
This email is also to make documentation of the unprofessional harassment by you. As well as notifying you of the unprofessional rejecting of an accepted assignment to which you flaked on in the 11th hour, which caused the company hardship, and will be countersued for loss of full payment on that project due to your unprofessionalism. We have proof that you did not download the file until that very morning it was due, to which I emailed you immediately asking you about your file, you said you had been working on it (according to the email you sent me)– which I knew was not true, because you had just downloaded it. You stated everything was fine and I would have the complete document before 5PM. You did not mention at any point that you were not feeling well or asked of there could be a backup transcriptionist to help with the file – there was never any indication that the file was not going to be complete and delivered on time.
Again, your practices, harassing someone even after you’ve been assured of payment, is extremely unprofessional. We DO hope you seek legal advice as our practices are dependable and our track record impeccable.
