DO NOT, I repeat do not do business with this so called company. The following is my detailed experience with this company..........

I ordered a wig as a present for a family member expedited around the Christmas holiday. Pink Lace Wigs shipped out my order promptly and the package was delivered by USPS within two days. My husband was home and signed for the delivery not knowing anything about my order. I returned home and at first glance of the envelope I knew something was wrong. I ordered a full lace wig along with a wig adhesive starter kit and the delivery was a small envelope. When I picked the envelope up it was extremely light and upon opening the envelope I found a green wad of tissue paper inside and nothing else.

I immediately called the so called company to explain the issue, not knowing to make heads or tails of what exactly happened. I talked with a woman an accent who told me after I explained what I had received that the package was delivered What? I told her that was clearly not the issue but in fact I do not have the items ordered. The woman again tried to tell me that she tracked the package and it was delivered. Knowing that the conversation was going nowhere fast I asked to speak with a manager, I got the run around and was told a manager was not in and that she would make a recorded of my problem and get back to me.

I had to call back myself later and again the same woman answered the phone but this time I got to speak with someone else who sounded almost the same as the first woman. I again explained the situation and she asked was there any tape or did it appear to be tampered with and of course it did not so my answer was no. Right off the bat this individual started to talk about customers and how they run scams What? I could not believe what I was hearing however I kept my cool and asked her to run a tracer and or file a claim due to the fact that my order was completely missing. She was very hesitant and told me that she would but had to get back to me after the holiday.

In the mean time I did some investigating myself. The package was a USPS envelope that was supposed to be tamper proof because when you close it there is no way to reopen that closure without it being very evident that it was tampered with. However I started to look very closely and happened to see that on the adjacent side of the envelope there was a small section of what appeared to be lint. I looked close and put my hand on it and it felt sticky to the touch. I then started to pull it apart at the seem where the stickiness was and uncovered the real deal which was a two sided tape that held the envelope together at the seems as if it were never opened.

I immediately called the Postal Inspectors office to explain what happened. I was given a case number and told to bring the article to my nearest Post Office for inspection. It was determined that someone with knowledge of the envelopes had to know what to do to have tampered with it without obvious detection. In my mind I did not know if it was Pink Lace Wigs or a Postal employee. I was asked it there was any insurance on the contents. When I ordered I did pay the small fee to add insurance to my shipping which I always do when shopping on the Internet. They told me to file a claim.

I had to call the company back myself because no one called me as promised after the holiday and I then explained the new findings and asked them to file the claim. I was told that I needed to file the claim. I proceeded with the process and had to fill out a claim form but needed documents from Pink Lace Wigs to complete the paperwork which was a shipment receipt showing postage and insurance paid along with evidence of value.

I called yet again to request the documents and again the same woman tells me that she was updating my account with the request and to wait for the documents in my e-mail. I then get a call back about an hour later from the same woman telling me after everything that was mentioned and so called documented that the shipment was delivered and signed for WHATTTTTT? I was truly beside myself, they are refusing to to help me file a claim? At that point I had to file a dispute with my credit card company and let them know everything that happened from the beginning.

I got a denial of my dispute from my credit card company (Wachovia) because they had a signed delivery receipt. They also told me that if Pink Lace Wigs refused to assist me with filing a claim that I should deal with them through the courts. I was also forwarded from my credit card company a typed statement from a Cindi Franklin as part of the dispute rebuttal from Pink Lace Wigs who said among a lot of things that I was a scam artist and that I was trying to get a free wig.

What kind of company would treat a paying customer in this manner if they were not the scam artists themselves. If Pink Lace Wigs knew that they shipped the product to me and I called back with an issue like this why would they not want to help solve the problem. I know why, because they never sent my order in the first place and was banking on the fact that someone would sign for the delivery so that they got paid, had proof of delivery, and I would have no provable case against them.

I now am out of my money and no merchandise and Pink Lace Wigs gets away with highway robbery! I do not think that I am the only customer that have been scammed by this company because they knew exactly what to do. They also do not have a physical address associated with their so called company just some P.O. Box any fool can get.

My lesson in all of this is not to do business with a merchant I don't know anything about just because they have a website, and that a simple search on the internet would have proved that Pink Lace Wigs was a shady so called company at the very least. I have since found several unhappy and similar reports about this so called company.
