Pink Ladies Power PLP Vendor Beware/Event Scam, Internet
Pink Ladies Power is suppose to be an organization that is built on helping build/rebuild the self esteem of young girls. This organization is suppose to hold events/conferences to assist in raising awareness and funds for their cause. However, this is NOT happening at all. They are claiming to be a nonprofit organization, but they are not listed w/any charities division in any state where they operate.
Unfortunately my loss was when I paid to be a vendor at one of their events and then the event was cancelled w/out letting the vendors/exhibitors know it was cancelled. My self and several other vendors/exhibitors showed up for the event and was told by the hotel the event had been cancelled. When trying to contact PLP they said we would receive a refund by 10/31/09. WE HAVE YET TO RECEIVE OUR REFUND!! We have been told that they have a no refund policy. Although they are the ones that cancelled the event. While at the hotel for the event I met another lady from South Carolina who was there to try to get her refund from an event they cancelled on her over the summer, that from what I currently know, she STILL has not received.
This company is NOT helping young ladies at all. They even go as far as say Missy Elliott is a sponsor/speaker for several of their events, but the events NEVER take place. Please don't waiste your money or time on being a vendor/exhibtor for PLP.
