This pizza place took the name of the real Pizza Chicago Tempe, but is now closed. The real Pizza Chicago Tempe is still open.

This is not the real name of the business. The owner falsely used Pizza Chicago without checking for the trademark name. The sign on the front says "pizza" in blue lettering. This company has no affiliation with Pizza Chicago San Francisco or Pizza Chicago Tempe. This is an independent operator whos real company name is unknown.

As a regular and satisfied customer of Pizza Chicago, I
would like to describe some misconceptions that the original report is likely
to give any new potential customers. The original filer complains of a
deceptive image when this is quite hypocritical given the nature of the
report. Clearly, pizza as with any
food is a matter of taste and opinion so I would like to give a description of
the establishment that is as objective as possible so any potential future
consumers can decide for themselves if this is the type of place they would
want to try.
Pizza Chicago is a small pizzeria that is focused on takeout and delivery that has an order counter in front of a small kitchen with a picnic style table or two in the front. The original report is correct in that you order off a menu painted on the wall and that it can get hot inside but this is because it is not designed as a full-service sit-down restaurant as was seemingly implied in the review but instead is somewhere you will likely be in and out of.
The original report filers claim that Pizza Chicagos pizza is not Chicago style is incorrect as this can commonly refer to either thin crust or thick crust styles. The pizza there has the characteristic crunchy thin crust and party square cut. In fact, I would say it is truest to the Chicago style of any in the area (there is another nearby for any Chicago thin crust enthusiasts who may want to compare). On a subjective note, I find the sauce to be quality with nice sweetness complimented by a nice herb mixture. They also offer wings (which I find to be pretty good), salads, and an assortment of side items.
Finally, in my own personal experience with Frank the owner he has always seemed friendly and dedicated to getting quality pizza ready to eat quickly. He does seem to maintain a low overhead by keeping things simple but this is something I appreciate as I can get what I feel is a quality pizza at reasonable prices. In conclusion, I hope this review will enable future customers to have an accurate picture of Pizza Chicago and prevent anyone from missing out on a place I enjoy because of a deceptive review.
