I remember the day we were informed of the pay cut to .50 per run, as I can recall our Area Manager telling us this is not a paycut. I had to laugh thinking if this isn't a paycut then we don't really exist on this planet. So it did actually happen. A year or so later Pizza Hut implemented a 3rd party to "study" fair compensation. So this DID actually happen, and can you blame the driver for being a little upset? Now we are hearing rumblings that they will cut our hourly wage to $4.75 per hour while were delivering effective January 5th, 2011. I do not believe this is set in stone although it has a high probability of happening. Last I checked the delivery driver is the 3rd most dangerous Job in America behind Law enforcement and Taxi Drivers. This is not to even mention the fact that we are responsible for upkeep on our vehicles. As I understand it this is happening because Papa Johns and Domino's have implemented the wage gouging in certain areas. You have to understand Papa Johns and Domino's also pay much higher per delivery as high as $2.00 which is double what Pizza Hut employees receive. I guess we'll wait and see what happens as they will undoubtedly spring this on us the day of it happening.

I have done customer service for most of the 50+ Pizza Huts in KC for many years now. I know it to be fact that the delivery charge was $.50 for the entire time in question. It was raised to $.75 in early 2004 due to the rising cost of gas. Regardless of what other pizza chains are doing, this is the fact. I can see why you'd be upset. Godfather's drivers get $1 per delivery. Pizza hut does cut costs in many areas that hurt its employees. Raechelle at unit #1 is a good RGM though, and theres no reason to slander her and Tim Henry on this site. They didn't do anything wrong to you. If you want to talk to Tim, stop by the CSC 9112 Glenwood in Overland Park. He's there most days with his door open happy to talk to employees. He's helped me out with issues many times
