Pizza Hut Sexual Harrasment against teenagers ripoff South Dennis Massachusetts
My two daughters worked for Pizza Hut this summer. One is 18 one is 16. Upon their departure I have learned of the following. Several times the Mananger asked my 18 year old if she would like a tighter shirt. He would ask her if she needed help changing her shirt and if she spilled something he would ask her lewd comments about how wet she was. My 16 year old was offered to buy drugs from the chef and also has comments made to her about her large bust size. Another 16 year old who worked there thought she was pregnant with the Asst Mgrs child and he is 28!
There were many more comments described to my daughters, but, they would have to go into more detail. What kind of first job is this when they think that this type of activity is ok? The manager also, overrode my daughters hours when she stopped showing up because of this and she only got an $8.00 paycheck!

If nothing happened, why not go higher? Dont they have a mouth? Can't they use it? Can't they pick up a phone and make a formal complaint? You're their mohter and they told you this, but you didn't report this as well?

Just kidding. Have you spoken to the manager or the owner of this place? Unfounded charges aside, if they are true, the issues need to be forwarded to the person responsible. Your 18 yr old is legally an adult and can fend for herself. In the real world, men and women make comments to each other. It's called flirting, and before the NOW gang got into the act, it created relationships. As for the 16 yr old, what is the "age of consent" in Massachussetts? It is 16, therefore the assistant manager may not have done anything illegal with the other 16 yr old as far as the local laws are concerned. He did however, violate Federal Law, in that she under 18 and more than 4 yrs his junior. As for the manager overriding the hours, well...if she doesn't show up for work, then she cannot expect a very big check. Perhaps your daughters should remember this experience in the future when looking for work. In my experience though, the only women who were ogled at work, were the ones who were "showing what they got".

Why did they wait to tell this? I would contact Pizza Hut Corporate and discuss with them. Your daughters should write down, as best they can, as many details and dates, times and witnesses. You might be getting free Pizza for a long time.
