I responded to an ad for a "free trial offer" for Platinum Garcinia. I was to only pay shipping. When I signed up another box popped up for Platinum Mango and there was no way to decline receiving that, so I figured I would try that as well. Little did I know that 14 days later I would be charged for the product and received no notification I was being charged. At the end of August, I received an email stating that they had shipped another bottle of each and were charging me $82 for one and $85 for another. I called immediately and cancelled the product. The company made me call two different phone numbers and said they could not cancel both at the one number.

I asked how to get a refund on the 2nd month since I cancelled and they advised they would not take the product back "because they didn't know if it had been tampered with" and that I would be stuck for the charge for both months since I called a few hours after the charge (unfortunately they didn't send the email until after the charge, how convenient). I advised I did not agree to an ongoing monthly charge and they advised that I did when I signed up for the "free" trial. Erica from the company stated that when you sign up for a "free" trial and only pay shipping, there is a disclaimer that reads, "if not cancelled within 14 days, you will be billed for the full price of the product and it will be a recurring charge every month". However, I did cancel when I received the email notice that I was being charged for the second bottle (unaware that I had been filled for the first) and because I called an hour or two after the charge, I'm stuck with the product and can't get a refund, so now I get to pay for 4 bottles.

So Buyer Beware...if you're going to accept these offers and be stupid like I was, use a pay card with only the amount you need on it so they can't bill you or get money for false advertising and then cut the card up so 1) they honor their actual false advertisement, and 2) you are not sucked in to their underhanded tactics of doing business, no money, no charge, no product.
