Platte River Cabins Screwed out of $200 and lied to by Platte River Cabins Pine Colorado
Checked into cabin around 4PM. Paid 250.00 for room. About 30 minutes later, I was called out of town by my boss. I went back to the office and the manager told me I could leave, and they would refund all but a 50.00 cancel charge. A month later, no refund. Contacted the owner, who told me that there is no such thing as a cancel fee, and I would be charged the full amount. She claimed they had to "clean the room" which is a complete lie, all I had done was sit in one of the chairs for about 15 minutes, never even used the bathroom. She also suggested I "bill it to the company". Sorry, you are obviously of that type of moral nature, I believe we have seen that side of your personality already, but I do not conduct business like that.
Owner is impossible to reach, every time I call I get the same sad story oh, she is not in, we made a mistake, blah blah. She refuses to acknowledge this, when I was told to my face that I would get a refund. Does not even have the courage to return my calls. Funny thing, when I parked at the hotel and spent $250.00 on a room, she was not too shy to come out like a vulture when I parked my car about 3 inches back from where it should be and scold me like a 10 year old.
I feel that I deserve my 200.00 back, and oh by the way you could learn some tips on hospitality from Paris Hilton, or the Hilton in general:
1. Treat guests with respect
2. Dont lie to their face about getting a refund and then deny it later.
3. At least give $250.00 a night guests the CHANCE to be ripped of by offering a phone of some sort in the room, especially if you are in between two mountains and there is no cell coverage of any kind.
4. Even motel 6 now offers internet, could you at least provide a place to check email instead of saying "go park down behind the library in town and hijack their signal"
5. A TV might possibly be nice in a 250.00 hotel room.
