Poetry.com Don't be scammed by Intl Society of Poets. ripoff Maryland
They do this to everyone...tell everyone they are going to publish their poetry in their anthologies and charge them money for the book, information on them, cd, tell them they're nominated for 'poet of the year' and then charge them alot of money for that ripoff convention. Of course it's a ripoff, and it's the way this company makes money.
The only people who ever read the poetry are the published people and their families who are scammed into buying the books and other items. If you try calling their customer service about information they don't even help you out-- they are a total ripoff. I bought a book once many years ago, but haven't ever since. I have had MANY poems submitted for publishing.. anyone can have their poetry published... it's ridiculous.. real publishing companies are nothing like this.
These people are playing with people's ambitions because they're giving them false hopes. This isn't publishing it's a ripoff so don't get played by it.
