POF is not free as it claims. They have features that don't work unless you pay for them. The so called "Meet me" feature does not list women from your city and state. It only lists women from out of state. They also have the "Click to View Users You said Yes/Maybe to AND they viewed your profile" feature that you also have to pay for. The site is NOT  100% free and by the advertising it as free, is false advertising.
I made four complaints to them about these reatures not working and got a message back from then as follows:

Thank you,

They don't even tell you what rules you violated. they only sent this after I made several complaint about the site not working. This site is not 100% free and is just there to scam you out of your money.

The issue you seem to be having, is really hardly an issue at all.

To sign up to the site is free, yes. To use a large majority of the site is also free and as advertised.

A very small amount of the feautures do require you to upgrade, but it's what a TON of websites do from dating websites, to video game websites and everything in between. It's how they make money.

It's a pretty basic internet selling technique for websites. Welcome to the internet.
