I purchased a Hot Springs Hot Tub from Pools Plus in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Within a few years they had to replace a panel that is on the inside of the Hot Tub. This switch turns on the jets inside. When I first called a few years ago I was told there was a huge recall or replacement that was going on nation wide and it would take awhile for Hot Springs and Pools Plus to get caught up with the service. In fact it did take awhile, 3 months to be exact. For the last year this switch had been acting up. You would turn it on and it would go off by itself. Recently we came home from a four day trip to find the Hot Tube running.

My neighbor said it was running on and off while we were gone. They actually said more on than off and they could not get it to turn off. Let me tell you what happened when I called Pools Plus. The Sales Mgr answered and I discribed the problem and he said he remembered all the problems they were having with these switches but I would have to talk to service. Instead I ask to speak to the owner of the business and he refused to let me talk to him. Later that day the service mgr called "Kip" and told me at least 20 times in 5 minute conversation thios was not there problem. I was out of warranty. Can you imagine a company not willing to fix immediately a electrical panel that was inside a hot tub and was defective. What if we were to get electricuted. I just had to turn off the hot tub completely because I'm concerned about a fire. It's full of water and it's 21 degrees outside. I sure would like to speak to the owner about this serious problem. Thank you

The customer's spa was multiple years out of warranty. They were told that the Aux Panel is a low voltage item and has about as much electricity as a 9 volt battery. We offered a discount on the new part  and labor to try to be helpful but was told by the Owner that free was the only option for them.
