Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Someone from the "Hiring Desk of Kentrox Computers Inc," sent me an email after I responded to an advertisement on craigslist regarding a data entry position.  Using bad punctuation, the Desk said I had to undergo an online interview via Yahoo messenger with a person named Mr Kevin Oakes.  I went ahead and added the IM contact to my friends list and contact Kevin, but he was offline.  After I didn't get a response for a few hours I emailed the Desk again to see what was going on and if there was another method of contacting him.  I didn't get a response from the desk, but the next morning I did get a response from Kevin.  As he was conducting the interview, a few red flags went up- but I humored him without divulging any personal information that I hadn't already included in my resume.  While doing so, I began doing some research about this "Kentrox Computers Inc" as well as scams that involved an online interview process.  I stumbled upon a report on this site (Portable Computers Inc) and saw that the approach was exactly the same.  I started asking Kevin questions and unlike what happened in the other report, he answered and did not seem like an automated machine of some sort.  But the similarities were uncanny; he asked me many standard interview questions like how would i describe myself, and how long had I been looking for a job, and how fast could I type?  But he would capitalize random words and use punctuation incorrectly.  He also asked if offered the position would I like to get paid weekly or bi-weekly and by wire transfer or direct deposit.  When I asked him if the company had any literature I could read to learn more abot them, he said to google Kentrox, Inc, which I had already done.  Obviously that's beyond shady, any HR employee would know the URL to their own website.  I straight out asked the guy if it was a scam and he kept saying no you don't have to worry blah blah blah and that I could get paid by check or monery order if I was worried...While Kevin was "speaking with the board of directors," I looked through the Kentrox, Inc website and reached the careers page where I found this warning:

"Notice Regarding Illicit On-Line Recruitment and Phishing:
Beware of recent attempts to seek personal banking and other information from individuals posing as on-
line recruiters. In some cases, such individuals have used names similar to our company name.  Such recruiting efforts are not associated with Kentrox, Inc., and we have not engaged any outside recruiting firms to seek applicants.  Do not provide personal information on-line to anyone, including recruiting services."

So I asked Kevin about the notice and he explains that it was from a little while ago and that they haven't taken it down yet.  That was the last straw, I couldn't keep pretending anymore.  I said that it was a clever ruse and I thanked him for wasting my time.  I then proceeded to ignore his IM handle and send an email to the real Kentrox, Inc.  DON'T give any personal information to these people and don't waste your time with "work at home" anything.  It's all a bunch of bs.
