Portfolio Recovery They due ILLEGAL collections in VA and everywhere else Internet
They called me on March 28 2012 to say I have a collection with MBNA bank that was charged off in 2001. They said they bought the collection from NCO in 2006 however I got nothing in the mail at all from any collection agencys until now when they called me. They are saying I owe MBNA bank for a credit card account that I faulted on in 1999. I told them to stop calling me and that they are doing Illegal collections in VA and they said oh no this is legal. I said no it is not. I told them I have a lawyer involved and to stop calling me and they said I had to have it in writing to stop calling me I said fine I will and hung up on them.

Good on ya', you just named two of the biggest criminal organizations around. Get caller ID if you don't already have it and ignore their calls. And do NOT set up some sort of payment system as some posters on this site have done.
