Portman Keane Financial Sandra Turner called me to say I had been approved for 30,000.00 loan. sent info, said time limit, pay Ins. in advance Internet
I almost fell for this. Two months ago Sandra Turner calls me on the phone after I had been looking for a long term low interest rate loan. sent by e-mail the papers I needed to fax back. Said this was time sensitive as things might change or rates could go mup and I would have to reapply. needed my signature on two papers, almost identical. Needed a copy of my Soc.Sec. card , Drivers license, (two pieces of government ID) and a voided check from my bank (usual) I asked couldn't she take out the insurance from the loan or add it to the loan. They could do half but would need half paid. She reduced this amount twice. Option 1/; Creditors Disability Insurance "standard coverage" 2,275.00 reduced to 750.00. Option 2; Creditors Life & Disability Insurance "Full coverage" 3,250.00 reduced to 1,250.00 I finally got everything together 3 daysago. tried to fax these papers to her at the fax number. Fax failed yesterday twice and day before twice. Thought it might have been too late in the day. Tried again today. Fax failed. ???/ went online to find out what they were doing after the hurricane. got to this page after I saw something about a scam about portman keane financial. Now I am worried about how they got my information because I don't recall their name when I was applying for loans.!! I had been kind of wondering about this when I had read that NO loans should require an up-front fee.
