Hello there,

I would have never came to this place, if Luke Jaten would have responded to my calls to his customer support, or if he answered his emails at [email protected]

I was recently reviewing and wanting to find a legitimate opportunity to work from home, when I came across the website https://postcardprofits.com on the Google Content network.

How I know it was content network? Because I found it on make money from home type of websites, and I have very little knowledge but some about internet marketing.

I reviewed the website and watched the 6-7 minute video. He also shared "fake testimonials" on his website. These people were paid to do the interview, because I researched all their names, "companies" and nothing was ever found about them.

After purchasing the $9 trial offer, its been over 3 1/2 weeks and I have yet to receive a response from someone letting me know when the product was actually going to be shipped.

I have also never received any receipts, and have been hit with a $59.95 charge on my account.

This is what his email said, after I ordered:

From: Luke (The Postcard Guy)

Date: Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 9:51 PM

Subject: Your Postcard Profits Order - Welcome!

To: (myname)@gmail.com

Hello (myname),

Congratulations on ordering your free trial

of Postcard Profits.

I think you're gonna be very happy you did.

Make sure to add my email address to your

contact list so you get all the updates.

Your confirmation number is: (confidential)

You should receive your order in 7-10 days.

Thanks again!

Luke Jaten (The Postcard Guy)

P.S. I can't wait to hear your Postcard Profits success story.

If you noticed I had ordered the 29th of june, today is July 18th, and I have yet to receive the course, and I have already been charged $59.95.

This program is a scam, there are other websites out there talking about this program as well:

(((Redacted)))

And also there is someone, I believe luke selling it on Ebay. Here is the other link for that as well:

www.Ebay.com/PostcardProfits

I am sickened by the way I have been treated, I had no problem paying for this course.

But I never received any call backs, emails, receipts, and I have already been charged and never got the product.

My fair warning to anyone looking at this product is to stay away.

I am sure Luke or one his Licensees will come on here and rebuttal this, but hey licensees you guys got jacked $5,000 from Luke, like many others did 1-2 years ago $1497 for another BS course he was selling about Government FHA information.

Postcard Profits has become another program/course you will want to stay away from.

This is a scam and nobody can actually make it work without an extra $5000 for mailings, call center fees, 800 numbers, list buying etc.

Thank you,

First, let me start off by saying I'm a REAL person with no equitable interest in the success or failure of Luke Jaten.

I've been marketing online since 2002 when I launched my first membership site in the real estate space. When I sold the site in 2009, I was looking for something new to get into ... and ran across Luke Jaten's PostcardProfits.com and PostcardTraffic.com and was intrigued with the concept.

I invested in the PostcardProfits.com course in Aug 2009 and found it to be a complete, step-by-step program that was excutable when the instructions were followed. I also found it unique that Luke didn't promise pie in the sky results in the program - coming from the internet marketing space, I wasn't used to that! The financial projections he suggested in the program were believable.

After going through the program, I had the opportunity to get involved in a coaching program that was being offered - PostcardTraffic.com. The price was $3k for the program, but based on the integrity of the material in the PostcardProfits.com program, I didn't hesitate to sign up and get the opportunity to work with Luke and the coaches.

All hype aside, this was the best investment I ever made. Within the first 3 months, I had campaigns running successfully and ended up doing 6 figures (gross) by my 3rd month. This was the first time I had ever done direct mail and can tell you, the program works. Are my results typical? I don't know, but I CAN tell you I worked my arse off to get the campaigns started. I studied the program material, did additional research online, talked to the coaches regularly (for the first couple of months - mainly for the accountability), and invested my profits back into the business during the ramp up. I did what any successful entrepreneur did - i took responsibility fo rmy results, and didn't wait for someone to hand me success on a platter.

I'm not sure if there is a way for readers to reach me, but I'd like to make myself accessible for any LEGITIMATE questions people have about my experience.

Final word on the subject - Luke Jaten is a real person who has consistently delivered a quality product, fairly priced. The product worked for ME. Did I need the coaching to be successful? NO.

I am writing as I did order post card profits and I did send it back before the time was up for reviewing the product. I am writing because I did not get my money refunded right away, but I wanted to let you know I did get a refund. It took about 33 days before they were able to get it back to me. I called and talked to 2 wonderful customer service people who treated me very kindly, and they assured me I would get my refund. I told them I would write you and let you know  that they did not rip me off and It just takes a little time to get through all the returns. But they were honest and upright by me.
                                     Thank You

"Fake" Testimonials are not fake.

I am one of those portrayed by a video testimonial on Luke's website. The supporting documentation shown in the video is real. I have used Luke's training to produce a business I run from my home which grosses over $20,000 a month. (Over $200,000 in the past year and I have bank statements to prove it.) I have personally visited with at least 2 others who are shown in the videos and I know they are real.

Just because this guy says he tried to "search out" the companies from the testimonials and couldn't find them doesn't mean they don't exist. My company name was not given in the video to protect my affiliates.

Luke sells a legitimate product that is crammed full of real instruction. I know this guy may not have received his material but it's possible there was some delay in the mailing of it. I know over 2,000 people who have received their product from Luke because I have seen the postal delivery confirmations.

Wait a minute -- perhaps Adame has a point. To wit:

This is a scam and nobody can actually make it work without an extra $5000 for mailings, call center fees, 800 numbers, list buying etc.

OP, how exactly do you know this is a scam and that nobody can make it work without spending an extra $5000 for mailings, etc if you haven't received your order? For that matter, if you already "knew" that and feel so negatively about it -- why did you order?

Hmmm...

Could the original complainant provide some details? What kind of research did you do into the people/companies mentioned in the video? Internet? Doesn't strike me as unusual that you wouldn't find much even if legitimate. As this works through the mail, there's no particular need to have a significant internet presence unless one chooses to make it part of their marketing campaign.

How does using Google's content network or selling on ebay constitute a fraud or scam? I helped a friend advertise on Google and she was completely legitimate.  I've sold on ebay before, and never conned anyone.

Can you provide links to your FTC allegations?

Privacy policy and terms are here: http://www.profitswithpostcards.com/ Lack thereof, however, doesn't automatically = scam. Poor website design, perhaps.

As you yourself have provided, contact info is available.

What previous "BS course" are you referring to?

I, too, have done some internet research, and can find no complaints by anyone who's actually TRIED the course and/or engaged in the business of marketing with postcards. Quite the contrary. Not sure I believe the dollar amount claims, but even a few extra grand a year would be a definite plus in my book!

As for your complaint that you must spend extra money to make any, welcome to the real world! There's nothing in any of Luke's internet materials I can find that says you don't. ANY legitimate business requires an investment of time, money, and more. Anyone promising tens of thousands of dollars in return for ONLY a few hundred is scamming you (or someone), but nowhere does Luke do that. He's promising a COURSE for $299.

Have you received your course yet? True, Luke or someone should respond and make sure you got what you paid for, or issue you a refund. All his materials should have a way to backtrack to verify receipt. Just because you haven't received it, however, doesn't mean you were ripped-off. Could be a shipping company error. Have seen it happen myself. In the meantime, contest the charge on your CC.

Personally, I've ordered the course. Will update here with the progress.

I have been working with this program for 3 months now. I originally ordered the package, and since then I have been able to mail out 2 different projects. I have never seen such a great course and program. I highly recommend that anyone looking to learn more about direct mail starts with "postcard profits". This is not a scam or gimmick.

I have not received the course yet and I have gotten the call from the team to ask questions. I just got a USPS Priority Envelope in today, but to my surprise it was just the 1 Bonus CD that includes his 27 ready to go digital products for his postcard profits system. Also, included was a thank you letter with instructions to refer to the course material, but I have not received those course discs yet. A little strange by getting just the one cd first. Will wait... then cc bank chargeback is in process if any longer. There is not a phone number or support email address on the letter. There is just one address at bottom: DMG Inc. 2710 Thomes Ave Ste 239 Cheyenne WY 820011

For those interested in rebuttals: I also ordered this course about 5 days ago. I was doing some research and wanted to find Luke's site when I came across this post! Well, I have to tell you I was shocked that someone had posted this, because I was directed to Luke's postcardprofits course from a fellow marketing friend who makes huge money online. And his integrity is rock solid. I almost emailed him to ask if he had seen this and what the story was when I scrolled down and saw Adame's rebuttal. Honestly it made me feel much better! I don't think I have a thing to worry about. As a matter of fact I received a call from one of Luke's team today asking me some questions about the course (they thought I had received it already). Adame, I'm in your area just south of you in Sarasota. Hopefully we don't saturate the Tampa Bay market with the same product!!! :-) Seriously, I have lots of faith in the friend who gave me Luke's web address, and if this is a scam he will be as shocked as I will be for sure. So, here's the deal. If I haven't received my package within the next 10 days I'll follow up here with the news. But, if you don't see my further post then assume everything went well with me, and this fellow's complaint is personal not the rule.

To start off with about the course, I actually have the CD course spoken of in the complaint so it is certainly real. In addition it is well done. Jake lays it all out in a teaching style that's very friendly. There are about 8 steps to an actual mailing project and luke takes you step by step through them with specific instruction on how to do everything. He also provides the online resources that you need to choose and buy your mailing lists, phone service, etc. This method is very lucrative and I use it about 4 times a year to boost my regular marketing income. You can literally start with $500 and if done right, start making obscene money within a few weeks. I've done it and I will do it again in a couple of months. This person making the complaint sounds like a competitor not a consumer. Notice how at the end of his statement he starts going into other programs that he says Jake is involved in. Here is part of his complaint "but hey licensees you guys got jacked $5,000 from Luke, like many others did 2 years ago". What is a "licensees" or getting "jacked"? lol I have no idea. But apparently this guy has something else against Luke and is trying to hurt his business this way. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. To sum up, Luke's postcard profits works. You do have to follow his instruction as he will give you the benefit of the testing he has already paid for. I've shared this program after tweaking it towards my particular business and I have a couple of friends that also make $$$ with it. Bottom line, maybe this guy fell through the cracks but it sounds fishy to me. All the Best, Adam
