Alfred "Al" Jordan Ripoff, scam, buyer beware! I paid "Al" Jordan in Denver for 75 mortgage leads. He delivered only 8 and kept all my money! Denver Colorado
In order to expand my business of originating mortgage loans for my company in Encino, California, in March of 2003 I searched the Internet for a company that would sell me leads consisting of people that had filled out an online application to obtain a real estate loan for either a new purchase or a refinance on their existing home.
There were many companies to choose from. Unfortunately, my mouse was pointed to Al Jordan's site www.yourmortgagesite.addr.com when I decided that this was the company I would purchase from. They also handle telecommunications under "PPM Telecom, LLC".
I did not take the time (probably like many out there) to completely investigate this company and/or it's owner. I don't know what I would have found if I did. My subsequent filing with a Colorado investigator turned up no social security number for this man anyway.
Mr. Jordan was pleasant enough on the telephone, and was helpful with e-mails at the beginning. I thought buying leads on the Internet was about the simplest thing one could do. After sending me a handful of names, Al claimed that he would have to send out hundreds of thousands more of e-mails to different areas of California to obtain my leads. Then the trouble began.
Weeks went by. My complaint report to Paypal, through which I purchased the leads for a total of $500 was not helpful because it was beyond the 30-day complaint time limit. I was beginning to get nervous. I tried to reach him (unsuccessfully) by telephone. I wrote him a letter. It came back "address undeliverable". A mild panic set in, and my wife & I agreed that this $500 was probably gone forever.
That first week of March seems like a long time ago. I wonder what Alfred "Al" Jordan did with my money, but I can assure you, he did not send me another lead or ever contact me again.
