Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
On Feb. 3rd of the year 2012; I took my brand new 2012 Hyundai Elantra in for its first oil change at 6,000 km's.I had purchased it on Nov.14th; 2011 at Precision Hyundai 130 Glen Deer Circle S.E. Calgary , Alberta Canada. T2H 2V4. The purchase was made from salesman Mike Phan ( who I was told dosnt have a liceince because of a DWI); who interupted the initial salesman to whom I had began to speak with. The deal was starting to go south; and I was ready to topedo the deal; when Mr. Phan spoke up and said what can we do to get your business?

I then, asked him the same thing. I don't know I said, you tell me! He then asked; what if I give you a free oil change for life?

I then responded ..after thinking about it; okay you got a deal; but I also want 4 bottles of window wash as well. He then agreed for the conditions to the sale, and shook hands with me and then my wife and recomended that I use a sythetic oil. I then asked him; you mean I can request sythetic oil even though its free. By all means he said. I then acquiesed; and confirmed that we have a deal.

I then asked him how long to get the color that I wanted ...he said about a week to 10 days. Six weeks later or better I finally got an email stating that the car had arrived.

Upon taking it in for an oil change , the girl had me sign the papers and then handed me an invoice for $27.00. I imediatly and politely asked her what was the meaning of this as I have a contract stating that the oil is free. She replied...oh it is, what you are paying for is the inspection. "What inspection...I asked"Well they inspect your tire air pressure and your window wash. ( They had charged me for a fill up; and I had just filled it the night before!!). I then stated I came in here for an oil change not an inspection. That isnt due for a few monthes yet. She said I know...its just standard proceedure.

So; what they have done is promiced the customer free oil changes in order to get me to sign; and then charge me for the oil change through a phony inspection fee which is not at all what i went in there for ; or for that matter what was explained to me. Mike Phan is a decietful liar , and manipulated a sale through shady practise. When I emailed him; his attitude was tough luck.. read the fine print! I read it again and no where does it state this. Linda Taylor; is their Business Manager. She took me through all the papers and had me sign quickly, and never brought this up at all. She refuses to admit this; but its true!

I want three things: An appology, my 27.00 returned , and free oil changes as was agreed upon before the final consumation of the sale. Your Time and Attention in this matter goes most appreciated! Thank you.

I have dealt with the Hyundai dealership now for the last three monthes; and ever since we resolved our communication misunderstanding; I have found them to be nothing less than professional and terrific in my dealings with them. They run a first class operation, and show a real willingness to care and work with the customer. ALL the staff are friendly and outgoing, and don't rush the customer in anyway. I also found, that the product knowlage of all the salesman including my salesman Mr. Mike Phan to be very knowlagable, and polite!!! They are a team that seems to be committed to doing things right. Sometimes; in any business, there can be a breakdown in communication, but; their team is aimed and oriented towards solving issues, and going the extra mile.

I have purchased many cars over the years; and found this experience to be easier conducted, less haggleing, less confusing, and better managed than most of my, many previous experiences. '"Thank you, PRECISION" ...and keep up the good work. Glen Kyle

I have read Glen's complaint and as much as we at Precision Hyundai like to ensure our customers have an outstanding buying experience each time they visit us, sometimes we don't always get it right. I believe this circumstance is attributable to a breakdown in communication between Glen and our team. I invite Glen to contact me so we can discuss these issues and correct any and all missunderstandings.

I wish to state clearly that any approprate Precision Hyundai employee that engages with the public must be licensed in accordance with the Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council standards which would eliminate any persons with a criminal record. I'm proud to say all such employees at Precision Hyundai meet the AMVIC standards.
