Here the summary of what happened with moving stuff.

 

  1. Precision Moving Company picked up stuff on 07/23. They said they will deliver my stuff within 21 working days and they should have provided me a weight slip of my all stuff that they picked up from my home. But they never did instead they were keep telling confusing and ambiguous weight every time.
  2. I got a call on 8/15/2014 from Precision that they are sending my stuff in two loads. The first load weigh 2200 LB and second load 5080 LB.
  3. Some body gave me JJ Stroh’ phone number (602-920-4202) and I contacted him he came to my home when before first load delivery. He is Law enforcement officer in weight and measurement department of Arizona. When truck came, he weighed the truck before unloading and after unloading and found there was only 1800 LB instead 2200 LB.
  4. JJ Stroh asked me not to give $1060 to truck driver at after first delivery that precision was demanding.
  5. JJ Stroh told me that he will contact federal DOT about this and will try to get my remaining stuff from the Precision Moving ASAP. As they were keep claiming that my second load is 5080 LB.
  6. I was keep waiting for JJ’s response and did not answer their phone (This is what they are saying I did not responded to them).
  7. When I was not getting any response from JJ Stroh, I tried to contact Broker and he negotiated and they reweighted my second load and send me a weight receipt of 2140 LB. I am still not convinced with their weight because I don’t know what they weighed.
  8. They demanded form me $1671.00 before second delivery and that I gave them via my credit card. And $610 on the time of delivery.
  9. I was keep trying to contact JJ Stroh and finally he said he will come to my home but he never showed up.
  10. Now second load came on 09/16 and they delivered my stuff without reweighed in front of me.  I did not have any choice. I am not convinced with their weight because I don’t what they had in truck. If some can do mistake at first place they can repeat them.
  11. I gave him $610 before second load unloading.
  12. Once we were checking the stuff we found many things were missing.  This was in front of delivery driver. He is having original receipt of missing stuff. I am attaching a copy of that here.
  13. I contacted Precision mover and told about the missing things. They asked me to file claim. I have filed the claim and waiting for the response.

My Question Consumer protector is. Is there any agency to ask the Precision movers why did they give me wrong information, harassed for long time by keeping my stuff hostage?  They kept my stuff almost two months. They forced me buy each and every thing for my kids school which were in my moving stuff.
