My husband and I traded our 2005 Chevy Aveo for a new 2009 Kia Rio5 on September 8, 2008. Premier Kia on Atlantic assured us they would pay off the balance on the Aveo before the next payment due date of Sept 18, 2008.

We thought everything was fine until we received a notice from GMAC stating that they had not received our payment due on Sept 18, 2008. They assessed us a late fee and threatened to report us to the credit bureaus for non payment. We had this loan for three years and in that time never, ever, missed one payment. Now we have a late fee and are going to be reported to the credit bureaus.

I contacted Premier Kia by phone numerous times trying to get in touch with George, who was never available and never returned my calls. I even asked to speak to a manager, any manager who supposedly took down my info about the car being traded in on Sept 8, receiving the late notice from GMAC, and being threatened to be reported to credit bureaus. Said manager asked for my name and phone number so he could check into the matter and call me back; Three weeks later I am still waiting on a call back.

My husband and I showed up in person at Premier Kia and spoke with George who pushed us off on Pete who simply handed us a piece of paper with the name Abby, Office Manger and a phone number and told us to call her.

For over two weeks I have been trying to contact this Abby person; only to get voice mails with the usual leave name, number and brief message and somebody will call you back. Again I am still waiting on a call back. I called again this morning, October 21, 2008 and asked to speak to Abby only to be told she no longer works there. I then asked to speak to any live person about the situation only to be told all the managers were in a meeting, could she take my name and number and have somebody call me back. I gave her my name and number and also told her I am still waiting for a call back from previous calls for over two weeks; that nobody but nobody returns calls. So here I sit waiting on call back that I know will never come.

I called Premier Kia and asked for the phone number to Corporate Headquarters and the dumb bimbo on the phone at first gave me the number to their finance department. I told her I already had the number to the finance department, I want the number to Corporate Headquarters and she gave me 877-454-2478. I called the number three times to make sure I didn't misdial the number only to be told the number isn't in service. I have the number to their so called CEO at 888-410-1499 and when called you get, "I am either on a call or away from my desk, please leave your name, number and a brief message and we will call you back;" but when you get to the voice mail it states the box if full; please call back later.

It is now October 21 and this all started out on September 8 and we are still fighting with Premier Kia about getting the loan on the Chevy Aveo paid off. Bottom line is; DO NOT GO TO PREMIER KIA IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A CAR! ! ! ! ! I will drive 100 miles out of my way to find another Kia Dealership before dealing with Premier Kia ever again once we finally get this mess straightened out. My husband and I both have Kia's and we love them; just do not like Premier Kia on Atlantic.

We further plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau and any state agencies in regards to this situation and are even considering contacting a lawyer.

The best way to get this issue resolved is to go the companies other dealership, Hyundai of North Jacksonville located on Main Street. That is where the accounting office is located. It is also where the owner of the company works out of. Speaking to a lawyer and the BBB is definitly the right thing to do. If Ken Amaro did the right research he could have several customers to interview and a really interesting story about an automotive group that selfishly took advantage of customers. These people will say whatever it takes to sell a car.
