As I told someone with a similar story, I had a similar situation with a company in Illinois who was DBA First Financial, American Benefits Club, Rockwell Holdings, etc. who made the exact same offer to me that I am reading in these reports. Exact same pitch, exact same promises. After having $179.99 debited from checking account, another $14.95 two days later and waiting three weeks, of course nothing arrived. Their "customer service" number was such that you would get their "answering service" who would take a message and "someone will return your call after 4 PM", which of course, didn't happen. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. One good thing came out of this. I was able to get a working telephone number and fax number and went to work. I called daily, faxed very unpleasant things to them (such as letters from my attorney, the attorney general, etc.) FINALLY, they got so sick of me, they electronically deposited a refund into my account that same day. Oh, the nice Attorney General of the State of Illinois, in a joint enforcement effort, closed them down in November of 2001. The principals of the company were indicated, all assets frozen..now out of business. It may take a little time, but these thieves will meet the same fate. Not everyone will get their money back or necessarily get all of it back should this scenario happen, which is why I advise you to be the biggest pain in the a*s they could ever know.
