Complaint Review: Premiere Boxers - Ocala Florida

Here is the State of Florida Health Certificate that was issues for the puppy in Question. The name we were calling the puppy was "Moon" and Brenda then named him Dozer. This is the 2nd report on the same puppy she has made on this puppy on this site with the same claims. She was also claiming that the puppy had "tight nostrils" that is a common issue in what is called "snub nosed" breeds like boxers, english bulldogs, french bulldogs, ect.  No note was made at the health check for any form of stenosis, which is the technical term for the size of the nostrils. Either way any knowledgeable breeder would know about the breed they are breeding and know what is normal in the breed, and if you breed to improve the breed, you know that you can breed something like this out of a line when done properly. Her main complaint was that both of his testicles were not decended, which they were, and now you can see the proof that her claim was invalid. As stated in my first response we offered her 3 different options, which she refused them all. I did all I could to please Brenda, and she just wanted the puppy and her money back.  That is something that just simply isn't fair or done.

In response to now the second claim the that Miss Brenda Martin has filed on this site, I would like to let you know that she is not being completely honest still.

First I would like to start of by stating that I am not a business, or a puppy mill, or breed often. I am a very small "hobby' or private breeder that has 1 litter of boxer puppies a year, unlike Brenda Martine owner of BJ Farms, who not only breeds boxers, but english bulldogs, and has stated that breeding is her source of income, and has multiple litters at a time, and per year. Something I wish I really knew before I considered selling one of my puppies to her. 

I did sell Brenda a male boxer puppy in November of 2016. I normally just sell to pet only homes with a spay/neuter agreement, and limited AKC registration. Brenda contacted me interested in one of our puppies, and we spoke for a bit, and I felt her to be a honest person who cares about her dogs as much as I do. I own 2 boxers who live inside my home and are a part of our family, and treated as such. She truly spoke a good game, and with hesitation I decided to move forward and give her a chance.

My first red flag should have been her wanting to change my contract completely to suit her. She wanted several items removed, again in hindsight I should have never done. She offered to pay more to remove a clause of of reataining breeding rights to him as well as a return puppy. She also wanted me to remove parts that are in place that we would not cover under a health guarentee, like undescended testicles, uneven bits, ect. She also failed to mention that in the amount she paid covered shipping from Florida to Pennsylvania, along with money we charge for to cover travel expenses to the airport, ect. 

This puppy left with a State of Florida Health Certificate, that is required from our state, as well as airlines to ship. He was in perfect health, and both of his male parts were descended and noted on the paperwork. He was also one of the largest puppies, weighing in at 11lbs 3 oz. Boxers especially european boxers are known to have shorter muzzles and can have tighter nostrils. As she is a boxer breeder she should have been aware of this. I disclosed everything to her that I had to my knowledge as I do to every pet family.  I do have my copy of this health certificate to provide as proof that Moon, the puppy she had chosen did have both his man parts, as she is claiming he only had one, and had no health issues. She conteact my et several times, which my vet then contacted me about her and what she was doing and what he had said to her. He never once stated to her that his t******e was not descended, and told me in his opinion thought that see was a bit off her rocker, and probably shouldn't be a breeder when he tried to speak and educate her, and she did not want to hear it.

I also have photo of him that I took while I was at the airport waiting for the puppy nanny to come and get him. If he did arrive to her thinner then he left, that would be because I left my home at 5 am to be at the airport for his flight. His flight was delayed, and he didn't reach Brenda until almost 9pm that night. He was not fed before he left as I did not want him to possibly get air sick or have to use the restroom. She never made any mention of his weight when she received him, in fact was quite happy with him. 

In early 2017 she contacted me about the undecended t******e and wanted to know what we would do. She had told me a on a couple other occasions about this issue, but never provided proof, nor did she follow our contract and send me a report from her vet in the 3 day period of her receiving him. She became very hostile, and began trying to bully me into giving her what she wanted. I gave her 3 seperate options to try and resolve the issue, none of which she accepted, one was that she could keep him and I would refund her the difference for a pet price, not including the additional she paid for wanting to change the contract, two she could keep him and I would offer her a sunstancial discount on another puppy, 3 she could return him to me and I would replace him at no cost, except the cost of shipping. Shipping would be her responsibility of getting her current puppy to me and the new puppy to her. She declined all 3 options. I did all I could to try and make her happy. This is standing behind one of my puppies, I can not be held responsible for her declining every option she was given.

She because extrmely rude, threatening me to contact different agencies like the BBB, and some group for bad breeders, ect, and basically drag my hard earned reputation through the mud. She also had told me that she had sold moon to another family as a pet and no longer had him. She broke parts in my contract, where she would have had to contact me if she wanted to place him, as we hold first right of refusual of any of our puppies, and require them to come back to us, or that we help in placing them, so that we know where they are.

We also require families to stay in touch and send updates, which she told me she would no longer follow if I did not send her a specified amount of money back. She did contact the BBB, and I sent them all my proof of what she was saying in messages along with copies of the health certificate from my vet. Brenda even proceeded to contact my vet numerous times, which my vet got in contact with me and told me what was going on, and what was transpired and said. He even was quite concerned as Brenda did not make any sense to him, and when the vet tried to explain that testicles can sometimes go back up and come back down, she said not that is not possibly, my vet has never heard of that, but it is actually called "yo yoing".  Brenda would continue to contact him, and myself, and would become belidgerant. 

I feel like Brenda just wanted a free puppy, and I was not going to let her bully me into giving her everything she wanted. I feel I was more then fair in all my options that I gave her, even after I spoke to my attorney.  I can provide screenshots of her conversation to me, as well as the health certificate stating that Moon was in perfect health when he left here. I also can provide many references from numerous happy families we have had thought the years. I have never had an expiernce like this, and hope to never have one again. This has taught me to stand behind only selling to pet families, and that unfortunately people can talk a good talk to get what they want, and then their true colors come out in the end.

As far as Brenda stating that he passed away at 13 months, I can not confirm that as I did not receive any proof, and she had told me she no longer owned him, as she had sold him to a pet family. I unfortunately did no know his whereabouts.  If anything I would like to warn any breeders of Boxers or English Bulldogs not to sell to this person. This has been an all out nightmare, and I will never forgive myself for allowing one of my precious puppies to go to her. After selling her one of my puppies, I found out that this is her sole source of income, and that she is pretty much a puppy mill. I wish I had never sold her one of my precious puppies, something that I will forver regret. She never provide any proof from her vet stating that the puppy had cancer in his spine, and had a stroke. She never gave me this information either.

Like I said I am not a business or a big time breeder producing maybe 1 litter a year, We leave no expense when our puppies or adults need anything. Brenda who is a business and has admitted to this being her sole income wants to try and say that I do this for the money, and I do not care about the customer. That is far from true. Unfortunately I can not always make someone happy, especially if that person wants more then what they would be fair. I was not going to allow Brenda to take advantage of me, and because of that she is making it her mission to drag my name through the mud. 

I will be speaking to a lawyer for slander at this point. I have had enough of her bullying. She is obviously going out of her way to follow through with her threat to ruin my reputation as she has now filed a second complaint. This is the only way for her to get a response from me as I have blocked her and have told her that I want no further contact with her. I would hope that who ever is reading this can see that she is just out for blood at this point, and trying to ruin a reputation I worked so hard for, and is at this point still trying to bully me, why else would she file a second report?
