This company demanded $300.00 in google play cards to be purchased in order for me to pay for insurance to make payments for me in case of illness or if I could not make my payments. He said the insurance payment would be reported to the credit bureaus and would cause my credit score to go up. He offered no other options for me relative to payment. He also requested an additional $375.00 to be purchased in google play cards to pay for Interstate taxes in order to get an installment personal loan in the amount of $5,000. He stated the payments would be $160.00 per month. Dave Brown requested that I  purchase $300 in google play cards and that I snap a photo of the cards exposing the codes and receipts. I sent him the photos via text message. He said the loan would be electronically deposited into my bank account that evening in a few moments. Then he transferred me to another person, Mr. Foster, a Manager of the company, who said my account had been flagged by the state for the need for me to pay interstate taxes to release the hold, and that I needed to send $375.00 in more google play cards to pay for interstate taxes, and only then would the money be deposited into my bank account that evening..

I told him I had not received any loan paperwork and I needed a receipt for the google play cards purchase for the insurance before doing anything else.  I told him I would call him back. I decided not to deal with him anymore because it appeared that I had been scammed.  I told him I did not want to go any further without seeing his paperwork.  I wanted my $300.00 back, however, he said the google play cards I purchased was nonrefundable because the insurance had already been activated, but he showed no proof of that and no loan paperwork.   I obviously had been scammed out of $300.00. He telephoned me again on 8/20/18 claiming that my file had been on hold and that if I wanted the loan I needed to purchase $375 in google play cards.  I stated I was still waiting for the paperwork and I did not like his practices. He stated erroneously that he had offered me options previously, which was untruthful. When I expressed my concerns, he said: "I am through with you". and hung up the phone. I am concerned because my confidential information has been collected online by these scammers. These people need to be arrested and put in jail. They are violating federal and state laws. Please catch these scammers and expose them asap.

Never pay for a personal loan up front - for anything. That is your tip that it is a scam. This is known as the 'Advance Fee' scam and has been around for many years. Once the scammer asked you to pay a fee before funding, that is your cue to say no and turn down the loan. There is no loan, just the scam.
